Subject: Declaration of results of UGC – NET December 2023 – reg.
The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by NTA since December 2018 in
Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for
determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the eligibility of Assistant Professorship,
Junior Research Fellowship or both, for Indian Universities.
The UGC – NET December 2023 was conducted by NTA in Computer Based Test (CBT)
mode for 83 subjects panning over 08 days in 15 shifts in 292 cities across the country for
9,45,872candidates, as per the following schedule:

In order to make the examination system transparent, the Question Paper, Provisional
Answer Key(s) and Recorded Responses of the concerned candidates were hosted on the
NTA website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in from 03rd January 2024 to 05th January 2024 to
invite challenges. Challenges received were verified by the experts and results were
processed as per the answer keys finalized by experts. Results of the UGC – NET December
2023 are now hosted on https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates can login to the website and
view/download/print their Score Card.
The eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates
shall be verified as per norms specified in the Information Bulletin of UGC – NET
December 2023. NTA does not take any responsibility towards
correctness/genuineness of the uploaded information /documents during the
application process. The responsibility of NTA is limited to inviting online applications,
conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing the results to
University Grants Commission (UGC), NFOBC data to NBCF&DC, NFSC data to
NSFDC and NFPWD data to DEPwD, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment of
UGC – NET December 2023, for further action at their end.
The certificates will be issued by NTA to the qualified candidates shortly.
