3. Overview of Own Ideas
1. Area of most interest is Health – specifically physical fitness.
2. Our organization could focus on the importance of physical fitness/activity in
students.
a. Improved Mental Health: Physical activity has been proven to reduce stress,
anxiety, and depression. College students often face high levels of academic
pressure, and regular exercise can help them cope with these challenges by
releasing endorphins, which are natural mood lifters.
b. Enhanced Cognitive Function: Regular exercise can improve cognitive
functions like memory, attention, and problem-solving skills. This can directly
benefit students in their studies, helping them focus better in class and
perform better in exams.
c. Future Challenges: Neglecting fitness in youth can lead to difficulties later on,
including physical adaptation, health risks, mental barriers, and time
constraints. It emphasizes the need for establishing healthy habits in college
to prevent these challenges in the future.
3. As an organization, we aim to help students embrace physical fitness in a practical
and welcoming manner. Here are the most impactful strategies we can use:
a. Online Support Communities: We foster online support communities and
discussion groups where students can motivate each other and share their
fitness experiences.
b. Digital Fitness Challenges: We organize online fitness groups, encouraging
students to participate in activities such as virtual workout plans, video
tutorials, and nutrition guidance.
c. Virtual Fitness Programs: We provide online fitness programs with live or
recorded sessions that students can access from anywhere, making it
convenient for remote learning.
4. For our public campaign we could advertise our services in the gyms in campus as
well as online within the student portal.
5. Our slogan could be something lighthearted to get people aware of the stakes.
“Arizona’s heat calls for a year-round summer body and virtual fitness programs can
help!”.
6. Our target audience is students ages 20-30 years old as those ages are likely the ages
that people are most susceptible to sedentary lifestyles.

4. The idea that stuck with me the most was the one my team decided on which was
mental health text chat outreach proposed by Adamari Orea
5. The idea the team decided to pursue is an a text chat based mental health outreach
program. This is targeted at bridging the gap in mental health awareness faced by
students of all ages. The premise is to provide an outreach opportunity for students who
feel as though there is a stigma for mental health assistance via a more accessible means
of communication such as text communication or even emails/group communication.
6. The absence of Dominick and me in the group chat was noticeable. I missed some group
messages due to my limited familiarity with emails and in-canvas notifications. The
recorded meeting had a slightly hostile tone regarding missing members, and decisions
were made quickly. To enhance communication, I created a Discord server for group
discussions and document sharing.
