Chapter 11.2-11.7 Testing for Convergence
Dạng 1: Testing for Divergence/ Convergence
Chapter 11.2: Series
- Determine whether the series is convergent or divergent by expressing sn as a
telescoping sum (as in Example 2). If it is convergent, find its sum

- Determine whether the geometric series is convergent or divergent. If it is convergent,

find its sum

- Find the values of x for which the series converges. Find the sum of the series for those
values of x.
Chapter 11.3: The Integral Test and Estimates of Sums
- Use the Integral Test to determine whether the series is convergent or divergent

- Find the values of p for which the series is convergent.

Chapter 11.4: The Comparison Tests

- Determine whether the series converges or diverges
Chapter 11.5: Alternating Series and Absolute Convergence
- Test the series for convergence or divergence.
- Determine whether the series is absolutely convergent, conditionally convergent, or
divergent.

- For what values of p is each series convergent?

Chapter 11.6: The Ratio and Root Tests
- Use the Ratio Test to determine whether the series is convergent or divergent.

- Use any test to determine whether the series is absolutely convergent, conditionally
convergent, or divergent.
Chapter 11.7: Strategy for Testing Series
- Two similar-looking series are given. Test each one for convergence or divergence

- Test the series for convergence or divergence.

Chapter 11.8: Power Series
Dạng 1: Find the radius of convergence and interval of convergence of the
power series.
Chapter 11.9: Power Series

Chapter 11.10: Taylor and Maclaurin Series
Dạng 1: Find the Taylor/ Maclaurin Series

series for f(x) centered at the given value of a.

- Find the Maclaurin series for f(x) using the definition of a Maclaurin series.
