1. Hello everyone, today our team will summarize the survey results on students’ future jobs.

2. This project consists of three parts are warm up, the student’s future jobs means and
changing professional stereotypes.

3. Now, we are going to start project lesson with game named “Who are they” and operated
by me- Bích Ngọc.

4. Next, we turn to find out What is the student’s future job?

5. Through the survey from the student in our school, we obtained the following results: 63% (sixty-
three per cent) of girls and 37% (thirty-seven per cent) of boys chose teacher to main job. It can be
seen that the number of boys choosing a career as a teacher has increased more than in the past.

6. Next up is pharmacist which job tends to be chosen by boys. This is supposedly because boys have
more meticulousness and thoroughness than girls, so pharmacist is thought to be more suitable for
boys.

7.Then, we summarize of pilots. The number of women choosing to be pilots has

increased much more, almost as much as men with 54% (fifty-four per cent) of boys and 46% (forty-
six per cent) of girls.

8. But the survey also produced surprising results such as Homemaker is

chosen equally by men and women.

9. According to the results of this

survey,we can see that gender equality in society in general and gender equality at work in particular is
spreading well. Boy has become aware of the importance of housework,
has a more open view of the profession of teacher. From there, we see that social prejudices
are gradually being rejected.

10. Besides,
stereotypes about work still exist in society such as choosing a career as a pharmacist or pilot. So, to
resolve this situation, we want to analyze ‘professional stereotypes’ between the past and now.

11. First, around the 15th and 16th centuries, women were forbidden to be lawyers in the past.
However, it was not until the 20th century that the profession opened its doors to women,
although initially there were still very few women practicing law.

12. Second, in the past, although it has developed since the 1800s, the automobile industry is
still considered unsuitable for women and women are not allowed to drive. Nowadays,
women are no longer prohibited from doing this job, but in some areas in the US there is still
a law that if the driver is female, one of the passengers must be male. Or previously
Journalism was not a very popular profession for women in the past as they only took care of
entertainment and family life. Women in the 18th century still had no voice in society and
were not allowed to write about serious issues. And now, it was not until the 1900s that some
female reporters fought for equal rights in journalism with men.
13. Despite significant achievements in reducing gender gaps in education and careers,
the gender issue in choosing a career has not completely disappeared.

14. we found an example in society that was little Gunjan Saxena, who is the first female fighter pilot
in India during the Kargil War. And this story is true in real life.
Please watch the following video to know more about this little girl

15 .Following this project

, we can see that the prejudices that have existed unconsciously for many years
are gradually being removed. But somewhere there are still old-fashioned thoughts
, imposing thoughts from their families or themselves.
Therefore, as students, we need to raise awareness among our peers, supporting career choices that are
suitable for each individual without constraints
