Chapter 5

Summary of Findings, Conclusion & Recommendations

This chapter consists of the summary, conclusions and recommendation

wherein it came from the gathered data of chapter 4.

 This study aims to figure out whether or not the students know about the causes

and effects of depression and in how to deal/prevent it.

 What is the most common reason of depression?

 What is the most phenomenon effect of depression?

 What advice can motivate a depressed person?

 If you’re in the position where you are depress, what will you do?

 If you see someone depress, what will you do?

Summary of Findings

Based on the gathered data, the researcher came out with the following discoveries:

There are 30 present respondents that were asked in this study who answered all

the questions in survey questionnaire that the causes and effects of depression are:

Bullying, School works, Family problems, Financial problems, and Relationship for the

causes of depression. They have known this, for they’ve been experiencing this every day

or sometimes. The effects are Suicide, Low grades, Mentally sick, Stress, and Hopelessness.

The respondents are knowledgeable of these effects because of the things they see in social

media about the people who goes through depression. Students should be free to let their

opinions or problems be heard.


Conclusion

 From the findings, the following conclusion were made:

 All of the SHS have different thoughts or experiences of the possible causes and

effects of depression. Some are because of Bullying, Family problems, and School

works for the causes, meanwhile for the effects are Suicide, Low grades, and

Hopelessness.

 The SHS have been alarmed or suffering that bullying is the main reason of

depression. Some have been thinking that the main reason of depression is family

problem which is now very common in this generation.

 As a result to this, most of the students suffered depression because of bullying.

 The students ask help for assistance to take action to prevent this depression among

them.

 Students want to speak up to themselves and to let the people in authority about

how they are feeling about this phenomenon problem that is happening right now.

Recommendation

Based on the findings and conclusion of the study, the following recommendations

are offered:

 The researcher suggest that students should look into positive instead of

negative.

 The researcher suggest that people in authority should provide assistance to the

students who are suffering in depression.

 The researcher suggest that students should know more about depression.
 The researcher suggest that students should help each other’s problems.

 The researcher suggest that students must avoid things that can make them

down.
