The document discusses the land dispute crisis occurring between the Kuki and Meitei tribes in Manipur, India. [1] The Kuki tribe has ST status allowing them to buy and sell land freely while the Meitei tribe does not, causing conflicts. [2] The government removing illegal settlers from forests to curb drug trade exacerbated issues. [3] The solution proposed is to convene meetings between eminent members of both tribes to discuss problems face-to-face and compromise on a mutually agreeable solution, as fighting will only make both sides losers while cooperation can make both winners.

Name of the leader – Mallikarjun Kharge DATE : 29nth October 2023 What is happening and how to overcome the crisis: What is happening in Manipur : In Manipur there are two tribes Kuki and Meitei which are facing problems due to land dispute, Kuki are Christian and have status of ST thus they can buy and sell land anywhere in Manipur, but Meitei cant because they have OBC and SC status. In Manipur conflicts occurred when High court made an appeal to give them the status of ST, on 3rd May then Tribal Soliditary March occurred where these people clashed. Three main reasons are: 1. When High Court appealed the government on 3 May to grant the status Tribal Soliditary March occurred where these tribes collapsed. 2. Government removed all the illegal people from jungles to overcome drug trade thus this issue happened. 3. We have to understand the Golden Triangle which consists of Thailand, Burma and Laos and there drug trade is done in maximum amount which started coming in churchandapur state of Manipur and and we even have to know that Burma formely called Myanmar is Asias next failed state as it has no political instability Solution to the problem : The solution of the Manipur crisis can be only to call the meeting of some eminent persons of both the community that is Meitei and Kuki and sit face to face and put their problems then the people from government or any x.y.z organisation should give some formula which should not be biased and should finish the turmoil, moreover they should convince to both the community that both will be losers in fighting and both will be winners by compromising on some conflict points. If court decides some dispute than one will be winner and the other will be looser. This dispute is between two communities. The problem will remain same as the looser community will again go for agitation If some eminent persons of both the community persuade some wise people of both the community to sit together and the eminent persons after listening both the community decides some formula which is acceptable to both. It is quite possible that it can take some time as it can be decided in two to three sitting. But the problem will be overcome and the purpose will be achieved by bringing peace.
