Finding:
While checking and examining the overall ATM card and pin code management of
the branch, we have noted the following shortcomings which needs management
involvement and immediate corrections.

1. We have noted that the branch cards and pin codes are not handed in one
custody. instead, it is hold in different file cabinets.

2. Some of the pin codes are not properly handled; pins are teared and
easy/visible for anybody.

3. Overall card and pin register book handling is weak, most of the papers
holding customer information are damaged and teared; required
information’s like account number, card number, phone number and in few
cases signature of customers are not properly registered on the book.

4. We have observed that the branch card distribution performance is very


weak. For instance, the branch distributes total card of 555 since july-1/2023
up to 24-Oct-2023 which is only 6 cards per a day on average.

walking customers who are not currently live in the city.

the branch atm card and pin handling and to exert the maximum effort for card
