This procedure outlines the necessary action for leakage testing on the Foam Tank.
2. REFERENCE
Leak Test shall conform to the requirements of the specifications and provisions used in the
last edition of the following codes, standards and specifications:
• -
Every empoloyee of the Company or contractor should have the personal responal
responsibility to conform sound health, safety and environmental work practices, best industry
practice and govemment regulations.
Employee performing his/her duty must be aware of potential hazard. His/her actions must not
adversely affect the health and safety of their co-workers, and other personal or to himself.
Company will provide these individuals with proper safety equipment to prevent accidental
injury.
Individual must strictly adhere to all applicable rules and regulations and shall at all times wear
the prescribed safety gear.
DO NOT WORK and inform company immediately should the testing area pose hazardous to
work or if found to be faulty.
IMPORTANT: Equipment under testing-Proper protective fixture must be set-up before the test
and avoid standing directly in front of the testing unit.

5. TEST PREPARATION
Ensure all pre hydrostatic test active completed and release for hydro test as per ITP
Before initiation of hydrostatic test, entire tank shall be cleaned, free of slag, dirt, oil, paint, and
all other foreign matter, then completely visually inspected.
Shell manholes and shell nozzles must be closed by using blind flanges and torques with proper
gasket.
Install temperature gauge to monitor that RO water temperature less than 45°C during hydro
test as per Company requirement.
Test water shall not contain more than 10 ppm suspended solids
Components made of austenitic stainless steel materials shall be performed with water
containing maximum of 30 ppm chloride.
If no leakage is observed after the indicated holding time, the product is accepted. Record the
result in the Leakage Test Report.
