This checklist will be used to track teacher feedback on the school-wide professional
development on implementing technology into instruction. The purpose of the professional
development is to show teachers how to develop meaningful, authentic, academically
challenging lessons through the use of technology, and how to create rigorous technology
across content areas. This evaluation instrument will be provided to the teachers after
implementation to determine the effectiveness of the professional development. The
questions on the checklist directly follow Guskey’s framework by determining 1) teacher
satisfaction 2) knowledge and skills gained 3) organizational support 4) implementation of
knowledge and skills and 5) outcomes of student learning. Teachers often do not feel
confident in using technology in the classroom, and would benefit greatly from a
professional development on instructional technology. Teachers will give honest,
productive feedback after attending the professional development, gaining knew
knowledge, implementing their lesson, and then determining if they saw improvement in
their students. The feedback from this checklist will directly inform changes to future
professional development on instructional technology. Changes can be made based on
this checklist to drive next steps and allow leaders to know what area of focus teachers
need most.
