ORDER:
Orders have been issued ln the G.O. 3'd read above, to implement
33 7/3%o reservation in favour of Women horizontally without earmarking any
roster points for them, in each category i.e, OC, SEBC-A, SEBC-B, SEBC-C,
SEBC-D, SEBC-E, EWS, SC, ST, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-Servicemen and
N4eritorious Sportsmen, in the matter of direct recruitment to the posts for
which men and women are equally suited, in supersession of orders issued in
the G.O.Ms.No.41, WD&CW(Estt) Dept., dated: 01.08.1996 and G.O.Ms.No.56,
WD&CW (Estt.) Dept., dated: 28.10.1996 duly specifying that necessary
amendments to the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 will
be issued sepa rately.

2. Accordingly, the following Notification shall be published in an Extra

Ordinary issue of the Telangana Gazette, dated:13.02.2024:-

NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the

Constitution of India and all other powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of
Telangana hereby makes the following amendments to the Telangana State and
Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, issued in G.O.Ms.No.436, General
Administration (Services-D) Department, dated the 15th October, 1996, as
adapted in G.O.lYs.No.196, General Administration (Services-D) Department,
dated the 28rn lvlay, 2016 and as subsequently amended from time to time:-

AMENDMENTS

In the said ru les, -

f . in rule 22, in sub-rule (2),-

( 1) in clause (d), in the proviso thereunder, the word "Women" shall

be omitted.

(2) in clause (e), in the order of rotation specified thereunder,-

(i) the word and expression "(Women)" wherever they occur

against Roster Points, shall be omitted;

(ii) in the fourth proviso, the third para shall be omitted.

(3) in clause (g), the words "and women" shall be omitted'

(4) in clause (h),-

(i) in sub-clause (I), the words "or women" shall be omitted;

(ii) in sub-clause (II) and in the first proviso thereunder, the

words "or women" wherever they occur, shall be omitted;

(iii) in sub-clause (III), the words "or women", shall be omitted'

(s) in clause (i), in the proviso thereunder, the words "and women",
shall be omitted.

2. in rule 22-4,-
(i) in sub-rule (2), after the words "there shall be", the word
"horizonta l" shall be inserted.

(ii) in sub-rule (4), after the words "there shall be", the word
"horizontal" shall be inserted.

(iii) the existing proviso to sub-rule (4) shall be substituted with

the following,-

"provided that where no eligible women candidates are

available, the vacancies so reserved, shall be filled up with
male SCIST candidates, as the case may be'"
