The number of employees that Cisco has worldwide has varied in different years. According to a
source, Cisco had a global employee count of 10k-50k as of 2021. According to another source,
Cisco had 41,163 employees worldwide (excluding Scientific Atlanta and Linksys) as of the end
of the fiscal year 2006. Therefore, the exact number of employees that Cisco has at present is not
clear, but it is likely to be in the tens of thousands.

Some of the highlights of their financial results are:

 Cisco ended fiscal 2022 with Q4 revenue at $13.1 billion, flat year over year and fiscal
year revenue of $51.6 billion, up 3% year over year.
 Cisco had a strong demand with record full year product orders and backlog.
 Cisco had adjusted earnings of $3.53 per share, with revenue of $52.79 billion, or growth
of 2.3%.
 In fiscal 2022, Cisco generated over $15 billion of software revenue, 81% of which was
subscription-based.
 Total subscription revenue, including services sold as subscriptions, was over $22 billion,
and represented 43% of Cisco’s total revenue.
 Cisco’s annualized recurring revenue (ARR) was $14.8 billion, up 9% year over year.
 Cisco’s remaining performance obligations (RPO) were $28.9 billion, up 10% year over
year.

I would definitely work in this company as it serves as a source of security for companies or
businesses who utilize critical data. Their dedication to help society feel more secure and to
break new people into the cybersecurity space is something I have long admired. The tip of the
iceberg for me is the fact that they made themselves become one of the many cyber security
standards used globally.
