JD for EV Senior Project Manager (Procurement/ Homologation)

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing Development: Accountable for selecting suppliers, formulating sourcing

strategies, and finalizing supply conditions.
2. Product Development and Cost Settlement: Develop child parts, assemblies, and tools for BIW-
Sheet metal, Forging, and Machining parts, while estimating costs based on diverse inputs and
ensuring negotiation within the target budgeted price.
3. Vendor Portfolio Management: Develop distinct sourcing strategies and determine the
appropriate vendor portfolio for Electrical Two-Wheeler Models. Evaluate vendors' existing
business, financial status, plant capacity, and QCDF rating to make informed decisions.
4. Supplier Auditing and Assessment: Identify new suppliers and reevaluate existing ones to
mitigate potential supplier risks.
5. Advocating for Digitization and Spend Analytics: Drive the implementation of digitization
efforts and enhance the Digital Database through UI5 technologies
6. Correction of R/M data in SAP and Taxonomy Improvement. Analyzing all the potential cost-
saving ideas and implementing Feasible cases using spend analytics tool-Qliksense
7. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development: Value Analysis/Value Engineering through
competitive benchmarking and developing alternate sources of vendors. Performing Zero-based
costing and cost negotiations in line with the supply chain strategy. Managing vendors with an
annual purchase for sheet metal parts. Develop strategic vendors including global vendors to
enable design excellence & meet the project requirements.
8. Program Manager for 2 new projects – High performance bike: Sourcing Strategy Lead for High-
Performance E-Bikes, collaborate with multiple stakeholders, manage Model Development Cycle,
Led development of 350+exclusive parts. Project cost estimation, Business case preparation &
enabled timely proto part submission.
9. Category Buyer – Proprietary Parts: Key buyer for procurement of Proprietary parts like Harness,
horn, lights, switches, rubber-plastic parts & fasteners. Material planning, scheduling and
procurement based on the production plans No. of Vendors management, Handle IVC Parts d
10. Supplier Performance & Up-gradation - Monitoring Supplier performance in the form of Quality,
Quantity, Delivery, PPAP, CAPA Activity; Up gradation activity on the chronically poor vendor.
11. Sourcing Strategy Building – Alternate and Additional sourcing plans to meet business
requirements based on risk analysis for critical, high volume, high value, or/and long lead time
components.
12. Identifying scope of Returnable packaging & implementation for local vendors.

Skill Sets
1. Hands on experience on advanced Design tools (Catia / Solid works/ProE)
2. Knowledge of 2D Drawings and DFMA
3. Knowledge of Mechanical Dimensions and Tolerances.
4. Knowledge of Prototyping and Manufacturing Processes.
5. Perform engineering calculations to support design work Create and review technical drawings,
plans, and specifications of the products
6. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.
7. B Tech (CGPA 7.5 above) / M Tech (CGPA 8.0 above) in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
