Field Service Technician

Job Description

Purpose:
Position holder are typically field based focusing on the delivery of planned maintenance programs to ensure
reliable and safe asset operation.

Activities include:
 Coordinating and undertaking a range of maintenance activities within defined operating procedures;
 Conducting safety inspections and complying with Aggreko's safety regulation;
 Providing first level technical advice to customers;
 May resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems.

Key Responsibilities:

 Respond to major mechanical component failure escalations.

 Carry out major component changes and field repairs.
 Carry out advanced troubleshooting of engines, electrical LV or HV systems and Temperature Control
Equipment.
 Implementation of field campaigns as required.
 Provide hands on mechanical and electrical support.
 Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards.
 Carry out the total maintenance of equipment.
 Maintain the stock levels of materials required and ensure that the appropriate tools are in place and
ready for use.
 Report and document component failures.
 Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality workmanship to maintain
and enhance the reliability of equipment.
 Assist, support and train service crew.
 Test and evaluate refurbished and repaired generators and prepare test reports as per ISO standards.

Qualifications & Experience

 Secondary education graduate with Baccalaureate diploma in technical field - mandatory requirement
 University degree in technical field (completed or in progress) - an advantage.
 Work experience of minimum of 3 years in electrical / mechanical area
 Experience in working with oil and gas industry equipment - an advantage.
 Know-how and experience working with low & high voltage equipment, earthing systems.
 Previous experience with internal combustion engines and equipment / electrical installations
 Qualification as electromechanical technician or ANRE certified electrician
 Know-how and work experience with load banks
 English - medium (written / spoken).
 Computer skills (MS Office, Email / Outlook) and Internet use/browsing.
 Ability to work with specific data bases/ ERPs or CRMs.
 Ability to correctly fill in work reports.
 Driving license - category B (responsible driving behavior) - mandatory requirement
