DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

This is to inform to all the students of Sem-II of Department of English that the following
activities are required to be done during the Second Semester. Each activity carries ten marks.
The total marks will be 100 which will be converted into 30 after completion of all the
activities. You have to sign against the space given on your card after completion/assessment
of each activity. The schedule and the guidelines are given below. All the students should
remain present/should submit the activities to Dr. Om Joshi as per the schedule.

1 Report Writing 05/01/2024 You have to prepare a report on
Introduction to Language Teaching and
Learning in 500 words.
2 Assignments 19/01/2024 All students have to prepare an
assignment on Communicative
Language Teaching.
3 Written Exam 29/01/2024 There will be a written exam of 10
marks. Student has to answer one essay
type question Time duration will be 45
minutes.
4 MCQ Test 16/02/2024 There will be ten MCQs. Student has to
choose the correct option. Each question
will carry one mark.
5 PowerPoint 26/02/2024 Students have to prepare a PPT on the
Presentation given topic. The PPT will not be more
than five slides. You will have to
complete your presentation within three
minutes. Use ‘Times New Roman’ Fonts
not less than 22.
6 Viva Voce 26/02/2024 You will be asked questions from the
PPT which you have prepared.
7 Quiz 01/03/2024 There will be ten questions played on the
screen. Each question will have four
options. You have to choose the correct
one. You will be given 60 seconds for
each question. Each correct answer will
carry one mark.
8 Literature 15/03/2024 Each student has to review one
Review article/research paper on Teaching
English as a second or the foreign
Language(ESL/EFL) . The review
should not be more than 500 words.
9 Project Work 27/03/2024 Each student has to prepare a Research
Project on need analysis of Curriculum
and Material Development in English
 Language.
10 MLA Style 30/03/2024 Create total five citation in MLA 9th
edition on Approaches and Methods.
