OUR OWN MODERN MILLENNIUM LEADERSHIP MARATHON The 2nd Round of Our Own Modern Millennium Leadership Marathon was led by members of the SLT and SMT from the cluster schools. The sessions covered topics such as Promoting Collegiality, Transformational Leadership, Project Planning and Delegating, Ethical leadership, and Strategic improvement Planning. This Leadership Marathon would not have been possible without the brilliant minds of our very own Principals and Vice Principals. GMS students participated in an Inter-school competition on January 16, 2024, at JSS Private School in Dubai to commemorate India's Republic Day on the theme Our young kindergarteners took part in the occasion as representatives of GMS. Kushagra Mishra of KG2 A participated in the singing competition, delivering a beautiful rendition of a patriotic song. SANSKRITI E OF INDIA : vormintagamcon/ecaeree Students of Grade 2 won the 2nd position in Al Ihtifal Arabic Competition (Arabic Storytelling) conducted at the Delhi Private School. The objective of the competitio was to instill a sense of enthusiasm and determination in students. It aimed to showcase the creative talents of young learners by providing a platform for their active participation and organization of various events. 7TH INTER-SCHOOL ARABIC AND ISLAMIC FESTIVAL Our students participated in the 7th Inter-School Arabic and Islamic Festival organized by the GEMS Modern Academy. In the Qur'an Recitation sub-junior category, Falisha Fathima of Grade 5G1 secured the first position and Muhammad Rayan of grade 5B2 secured the third place. FIRST LEGO LEAGUE'2023-2024 FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Explore and Challenge competitions are exciting and educational events that bring together young minds to explore the fascinating world of robotics and innovation. FLL Explore introduces budding engineers to basic robotics concepts using LEGO Education materials, encouraging teamwork and creativity in solving real-world problems. ‘The Team Master piece Mavens - Included * Aadidev A.P Grade 4BG * Vihaan Nilesh 4BG * Mihul Lalwani 4B2 * Nihitha 3E * Zoya 3E The team ‘Master Mavens, won first prize in FLL Sharjah regionals and qualified for FLL Nationals in Expo city. Coding Award Team Model Award Team Poster Award FIRST LEGO LE. oy hae) Challenge Solution Award wit Pree bon 5m Core value award Our senior students in challenge category won the- * ROBOT GAME AWARD * CORE VALUE AWARD 2ND ANNUAL ACHIEVE3000 READING COMPETITION FOR CBSE/ICSE SCHOOLS Among the top 22 participants, GMS was awarded the 2nd place. The biggest contributor was Class 8B making them the our Top Class . They were able to attain a 75% success rate during the competition month. Mr. Onur Eren from Globed, awarded the class with the Top Class Award and Certificates of Accomplishment. “NEVER SURRENDER UNTIL THE CHALLENGE TURNS YOU INTO A CHAMPION" "He who plants a TREE, plants a HOPE"- Lucy Lacrom Our student Aashay Jain of grade 6B2 qualified to plant a tree under the 'For Our Emirates We Plant’ campaign. It was a great opportunity to plant a tree under his name at Al Naseem Reserve, Ajman. Nileena Mariam Jonesh of Grade 6G1 recycled 510 kgs of newspaper under Emirates Environmental Group ‘One Root- One Communi-Tree Project.’ She qualified to plant 2 trees under the “ For Our Emirates We Plant” campaign on Saturday 23rd December 2023. Siddhant Seth of Grade 7B participated in two campaigns of Emirates Environmental Group-The \_/ ONE ROOT ONE COMMUNI (OROC) campaign and CLEAN UAE CAMPAIGN. Under the OROC campaign, he deposited 28 pieces of used mobile phones towards the Electronic = __ waste collection and had the opportunity to plant a native tree in his name. = = Christina Rajan from Grade 6G1 and Chris Rajan from Grade 4B] had the opportunity to be part of the COP28 conference under, YOUTH, CHILDREN, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS for sustainability. They participated in the children's youth's voices. They wrote their pledges at the 'BE THE CHANGE’ counter, which was attached to many more pledges. Our students were able to plant 3 Ghaf saplings that they received from COP28 at school. ( Rising Stars ‘aadambare won the first place in a recently held Fancy Dress Competition conducted together by Tamil Virtual Academy and Commissionerate of Rehabilitation, Welfare of Non residents. The competitions were part of the two day Conference that was held in January 2024 in Chennai. The Kindergarten sports day was a treat to watch!! We were honored to have Mr. Richu Musaliar as the Chief Guest for the event. Mr. Musaliar, the founder and organizer of the Providence 120 Cricket League, gave us great insights about his experience in the sports arena!! i a»!
