Recruitment: Follow Up

Dear Potential Participant,

As a doctoral candidate in the School of Education at Liberty University, I am conducting
research as a partial fulfilment of the degree requirement. Last week, an email was sent to you
inviting you to participate in a research study. This follow-up email is being sent to remind you
to complete the survey and return the attached parental consent form to your child’s school, if
you would like to participate and have not already done so. The deadline for participation is

Participants must be Participants must be 21 years or older, a parent/ guardian to a
student at Westwood High School, have good communication skills and should not have a
history of participating in similar studies to avoid bias.
Participants, if willing, will be asked to take part in a survey. You will receive a survey
via Google Forms to gather your opinions on causes and impacts of chronic absenteeism.
Completing the survey should take around 20 minutes.
Participation will be completely anonymous and no personal, identifying information will
be collected. To participate, please click here to complete the study survey. Because participation
is anonymous, you do not need to sign and return the consent document unless you would prefer
to do so. After you have read the consent form, please click the button to proceed to the survey.
