Hello everybody... So? Who is Edgar Allan Poe?

Let's find out. Edgar Allan Poe was an American


author and poet. Edgar was born on the 19th of
January, 1809. Mr. Poe was one of the many
children of David and Elizabeth Poe. His parents
were both great performers at the time of his
birth. He was born in Boston, Massachusets

Poe was not only an author or poet, he was a


writer as well. To name a few of his movies,
“An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe”, "House Of
Usher'', ”The Pit and The Pendulum”, "Tales Of
Terror” and “The Tomb Of Ligeia” Fun Facts
about Poe: He was a champion swimmer, He
dropped out of college and He was the first
professional American writer.

What is the moral of the story? The book


promotes a variety of themes. However, the
book has no concentrated morals. One of the
highlighted themes is wealth because the book
mentions a gold bug to which we understand
gold isn't available for any normal person's
reach.
The book simply is a mystery book. As the story
unfolds, William Legrand discovers a special note
written on parchment paper. The ink on the note is
only visible once put in the sun. Based on all this
information, the book is suitable for children as
they have active imaginations. The book is
recommended for those aged 8-10 years old.

What is the story about? The story takes


place in New Orleans. The story has three
main characters. A man named William
Legrand, his servant Jupiter (a former
slave) and an unnamed narrator. As the
story progresses, William discovers a gold-
coloured-bug. He then starts to focus his
time on this bug as it is rather unusual. His
servant Jupiter, thinks that he has gone
absurd and starts to fear for William.

Jupiter embarks on a journey to find one of


William’s friends. As Jupiter is on his expedition,
William believed his luck would change now
that he had seen the special gold-bug. He then
found a letter that he believed was special. The
letter was written on parchment paper and the
ink was only accessible once put under the sun.
