13 August 2023 Meeting
Opening: The prayer started with opening prayer and praises led by Sis Folake Falade at noon.
Message: It was delivered by Bro Olufemi Salami (Pastor). The message was titled “Open up”. The text
was taken from 2 kings 4:1-3. He spoke about the woman that cried to the man of God about her
predicament. Take away from the passage;
i. The husband was dead and indebted: A child of God can be indebted. We couldn’t say
whether the man informed the boss about the debt. Don’t keep things to yourself, speak
out before things get out of hand, tell it to other ministers of God for good counsel because
battles collectively fought is easily conquered than those fought in isolation. Please, don’t
die in silence.
He spoke from Luke 19:13. He said the gift that God has given to us all is to trade till he comes. How can
we occupy till he comes: It was the job given to us as regards the August zonal camp. He said people
should be able to come to Christ through us. He admonished that we should all play our role as
individual in our different unit to make sure our unit program was a success. He said Sunday 20 th August,
2023, the last day of the camp will be combined service at Champion where Entrepreneurship and
Family matters would be handled and lots more. Pastor Olotu and Pastor Samson Olubunmo moved the
motion for the adoption of the minutes.
Matters arising
CWC: It was decided that a team of CWC would embark on tour of units during the crusade/program.
Champion would be at Adebowale, Isolo is Odudu and FUTA would be at Ijare 2. According to Chairman,
the entire would assemble at champion on 20 th August. It wasn’t a fasting program; hence, brethren can
eat at home or can come with their food. The program would start by 9amthrough 1:30pm/2pm. A
seasoned Entrepreneur would be coming to tutor us on entrepreneurship which would be very helpful
considering the time of the day in the country. It was also there was need to educate the brethren about
the marriage tenets of the ministry and our financial contributions. He encouraged us to mobilize all our
members for the program and assist those that did not have transport fare. He said the committee in
charge was open to suggestion. There would be only one offering on that Sunday and it would be thick.
As regards Itaogbolu brethren that would find it difficult to be around due to high cost of transportation,
the zone promised to subsidize the transport for them.
Elders’ and Ministers’ son’s and daughter’s conference: It was billed for 7 th-10th September, 2023. We
were to encourage our children to be there and also prepare ahead. It was suggested that a joint
arrangement should be made for transport.
Ibule assembly: It was said that the assembly would be supported with part fo the money for the land
out of the contributed money for the camp.
Report on National Ministers fasting & praying: We were encouraged to always participate at the
program because participants from the zone were very few.
Training for the Ushers: it was reported that the program was a huge success and the fellowships
present contributed for the program.
Marriage report
A brother Bro. Oreofe Arikuyemi (Oke Ogun Owo Assembly) and Sis. Folake Olariyan from FUTA
Assembly was introduced to the meeting as intending couples. Pastor Adebowale prayed for them on
behalf of the zone. Their wedding would be solemnized on November 25, 2023 at FUTA Assembly.
It was aid that families with serious issues in our assemblies should be referred to the zonal marriage
committee.
Assemblies report
Ijare 2 : he appreciated the zone for her assistance as regards the Ijare 2 building, and support during his
father’s burial. It was said that 5 bundles of Iron sheet were still needed to complete the roofing.
Bolorunduro: A prayer request was solicited for a brother, in Bolorunduro, Bro. Bassey was seriously
sick.
Omoniyi: The zone was appreciated for the support as regards the part payment of land at Omoniyi. A
prayer was also solicited for a mentally sick sister in their assembly (Mummy Eji) Wumi Adewole (zonal
assistance needed). The zone promised to look into it.
Ibule: A temporal site for ₦30,000 for our structure was seen. It was suggested that the place can be
secured and paid for while we keep on looking for a permanent site. It was said that more hands were
needed for the work of God there. It was said that praying for permanent land is paramount and Bro,
Falade was to investigate if there is a possibility of part payment.
AOB
National Outreach: Those that wanted to go should register their names with Bro. Falade and that the
zone should remember its financial obligations.
Adjournment and closing: Oluwaluafe and Falade. The meeting was ended with prayer by Ayodele Ojo at
exactly 3:55pm.
Burial: Bro Lawrence Adeusi late father’s burial at Otun Ekiti on 24th-25th August, 2023.
