York Times bestselling author Mitchell David Albom. This novel presents a story that can serve as life-
changing to many, which is one of the many reasons I consider this beautiful narrative to be such a great
read.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven presents readers with the story of Eddie, an old man who works a
maintenance job at the seaside amusement park Ruby Pier. This is where Eddie would die, tragically but in
a heroic fashion. To further explain the story after that would be considered spoiling; therefore, this is a
great novel if you love the suspense that it provides within each page. To me, this novel has been quite
exciting to read for that reason. That, and the many literary elements that are utilized throughout.

rom flashbacks to foreshadowing, Mitch Albom possesses all the required skills to be considered a
remarkable author in this day and age. As mentioned earlier, The Five People You Meet in Heaven may
transform the lives of readers, changing their way of thinking and how they lead their lives in general.
This had occurred to me, for I now take a more optimistic view on my own life. This novel is heavily based
on the concepts of life and death, discussing to the readers themes and lessons of these two aspects of
existence on earth.

Each page read of this novel is new knowledge acquired, and not many other novels do exactly this. This
novel is able to depict a wondrous story while also giving us words with multifarious meaning that can be
turned into something of value by an individual. I highly recommend this book, for there are not many
like it. Emotion, suspense, significance, this novel has it all. I consider this to be one of the best reads I
have picked up in a while, rightfully so. Once again, if you are looking for a novel that can provide you
with times of wonder, The Five People You Meet in Heaven is the one.
