connected on a matrimonial site. She filed an
FIR against the man, named Anshul Jain who
was accused of making false promises of
marriage and cheated her. He hails from

A female filed an FIR against a man, named


Anshul Jain who was accused of making false
promises of marriage and then tried to
bankrupt her. She was working as a Cabin crew
in Airline and was cheated and plundered by a
man whom she connected with on a
matrimonial site. He hails from Gurugram,
Haryana.

Madly in love followed the man

She claimed to have communicated with the


person via jeevansathi.com a few days prior.
The accused individual identified himself as a
businessman in the NCR and expressed his
desire to marry her. She started phoning or
messaging him on WhatsApp. After speaking
with her for a few days, the man called her
from Delhi to introduce her to his family at a
wedding event.

Additionally, she was asked to wear plenty of


jewellery and come in an appropriate dress.
She carried all her valuables as instructed by
Jain unknown about his fraud. On May 7, 2023,
the complainant visited Delhi after believing
the accused’s account.

She was left with no belonging

As soon as she arrived in Delhi, Jain picked her


up, loaded her belongings into his vehicle,
which bore the registration number HR-98H-
2352, and drove her to Aerocity, which is close
to IGI Airport. They then left for Gurugram to
attend the wedding. He said that there was a
problem with the car’s tyres when they had
travelled approximately half a kilometre.

She was asked to move out so that he could


examine the tyre. He immediately left with all
the luggage & belonging which contained a
Samsung S-fold phone, 300 grammes of gold
jewellery, Rs. 15,000 in cash, three ATM cards,
gifts, and other items. He later took Rs. 50,000
from her ATM cards.
Thus, the current case was filed.

O!cers’ team interrogated & caught him

ACP/IGI Airport, which is supervised by Sh.


Virender Mor was established with the
mandate to carefully examine the method of
locating and apprehending the accused. The
team carefully studied the suspected conman’s
methods, and it was discovered that he solely
used WhatsApp numbers to access electronic
matrimonial targets and contact them, so they
obtained their information.

The team employed surveillance to learn more


about the purported phone numbers and
snatched him in Panaji, Goa. All potential
hiding places were raided, and he was
captured in Panji. During the course of the
interrogation of the accused, Anshul Jain, he
confessed to all of his crimes and sold all of his
gold jewellery to a single jeweller in
Karolbagh.

The team successfully recovered 14 Gold


bangles, 2 Emerald kadas, 1 pair of Jhumkas, a
necklace, studs including Phones and a trolley
bag.

Previous criminal record

He further admits that he made 12 lakhs from


this fraud by selling the jewellery and sending
money to the casino’s complainant from his
account. He paid for his rented home and was
enjoying lavishly in Goa. He had previous three
criminal investigations by Rajasthan Police in a
crime involving a similar scheme in Udaipur.

Educational status attracts women

Conman holds a from the UK and is a highly


educated and articulate individual. After
experiencing commercial setbacks and having
his family forsake him, he developed websites
that defraud individuals. Through matrimonial
sites, he specifically targeted women, dazzling
them with his profile before defrauding them.

Verify before connecting

It is requested not to connect and believe


people easily on matrimonial sites. It is
necessary to verify before the meeting. Make
sure to meet with people with your members
preferably at a public place.
