EXPORATION 3

Infinity Mirror
Today’s Topic & Objective

Visual illusion has long been an artistic quest (object of exploration)

in Western art history. The chiaroscuro (light-shadow) and one-
point perspective developed in the Renaissance era allowed artists
to create three-dimensional illusion of an object and a space.
Although many artistic movements since Impressionism challenged
the visual illusion in art, there are still many contemporary artists
who explore the aspects of visual illusion through new media
(holography, video mapping, VR, AR, etc.)
In this session, we will learn how to create a three-dimensional
visual illusion in a non-traditional way by using light and mirrors.
Infinity Mirror Infinity mirror is a configuration of
two or more parallel mirrors,
creating a series of receding/
fading reflections that happen
infinitely.
