Activity 3: Project Me

Problem: What is the relationship between the angle of release and the height of the projectile?
Hypothesis: As the angle increases the height also increases.
Materials: 2 pcs of ball with the same size
2 pcs of Meter stick
Tally sheet
Pencil
Procedure: prepare all the materials needed
Choose 2 members of your group to project the balls at different angles of release at the same
time.
Measure the angle of release and observed the end point of the ball.
Using the meter stick, measure the distance (range of projectile) of each balls and make a
report on the tally sheet.
Repeat this procedure once.

Guide questions:
1. During the first try, which angle of release has the highest point? Lowest point?
2. During the second try, which angle of release has the lowest point? Highest point?
3. What happens to the height of a projectile when the angle of release is increased?
4. What happens to the height of a projectile when the angle of release is decreased?
5. What is the relationship between the angle of release and the height of a projectile?
Is the hypothesis correct? Why or why not?
