The purpose of statement : The strategies of India to

helped io befor 10 year to the SDG 1 refers to the first of the United Nations'
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted in September 2015 as part
of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. SDG 1 is aimed at "No Poverty." The
specific goal is to end poverty in all its forms everywhere. The target is ambitious, seeking
to eradicate extreme poverty and ensure that all people have equal access to the benefits
of economic growth.

Key components and targets of SDG 1 include:

Eradication of Extreme Poverty: SDG 1 aims to

eliminate extreme poverty, defined as people living on less than $1.90 a day (the
international poverty line), by 2030. The goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity
to lead a decent life and has access to basic necessities such as food, shelter, education,
and healthcare.

Social Protection Systems: The goal includes the

establishment of social protection systems to provide support and assistance to those
who are vulnerable or in need, including the implementation of nationally appropriate
social protection measures and systems.

Equal Access to Resources and Services:

SDG 1 emphasizes the importance of ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their
economic status, have equal access to resources, services, and opportunities. This
includes access to education, healthcare, and other essential services.

Sustainable Economic Growth: The goal recognizes the

role of sustainable economic growth in poverty reduction. Policies and initiatives that
promote inclusive and sustainable development, create jobs, and empower marginalized
communities are seen as critical in achieving SDG 1.

Vulnerable Groups: Special attention is given to addressing the needs of vulnerable

groups, such as children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities, who are often more
susceptible to the impacts of poverty.

Achieving SDG 1 is interconnected with other Sustainable Development Goals, as poverty

is both a cause and a consequence of various social, economic, and environmental
challenges. Eradicating poverty contributes to building a more just, equitable, and
sustainable world. The international community, governments, NGOs, and businesses are
all expected to work collaboratively to implement strategies and policies that help meet
the targets outlined in SDG 1.
