at 11 a.m. and it continued up to 3 p.m. Though it was a 4 hour-programme, we did not feel bored even
for a single minute. An experienced magiclan, wearing curious odd dress, showed some tricks which are
really unbelievable. He first took some coins and suddenly vanished them in the air. After a minute or
so he produced those coins from one of the students’ pocket. The magician surprisingly lifted up a
person in the air without any support. In the air he was walking like an astronaut. All the spectators
became speechless when they saw the magician to pierce a man by a big sword All the time the magician
kept the boisterous students and their guardians spellbound with his tricks. There were more items
such as balance show, juggling ball, tricks with cards, fire. The spectators burst out into loud cheers
after each item. In this cyber-age, such magic shows can win the young hearts. After the end of the
show, we came home fully joyful.

Sub: High price rise of essential commodities.
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to ventilate my concern (or grievance) about
the dangers of high price rise of essential commodities.
Only rulers do change, but the misery of poor and middle class people remains the same. In every 5
years, a new ruler comes but the hardships of the middle class people persists. what a misery!
The price of all essential goods has risen up very high causing distress of the common people. The price
of rice, oil, dal, spices, onions, vegetables is now beyond the reach of the middle class families, and not to
speak of the lower paid people or the day labourers. The poor are the worst affected. Even the dress
materials most much high.
Day by day, the price of essential commodities medicines and dress materials is increasing by leaps and
bounds. For the middle class salaried people, the annual income is too lame to keep pace with the
abnormal price hike or soaring. The wage earners and pension holders find it really difficult to make
both ends meet. Even the price of medicines has gone beyond the reach of the poor and middle class
people. IIn such situation, some dishonest traders are trying to catch fish in the troubled water. If the
situation persists, how will the poor people survive?
I think the government should immediately do whatever necessary, and take proper steps to blacklist
the black marketeers and adopt the price control measures. Unless any drastic measure is taken, law
and order will be at stake.

Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I venture to voice my deep concern about the use of
plastics and its dangerous effects on environment.
Now- a-days, a great menace to the whole environment is the massive usage of plastic carry bags and
packings. People randomly use plastic bags. Plastics are not eco friendly. They are thrown away after
usage on streets, parks, footpaths. They are not perishable. The drainage system is stocked with
plastics. So, they cause acute water-logging. Even when they are burnt they produce a highly poisonous
gas pollute the environment. Jute bag factories are hampered due to plastic bags. They also cause
hazard to public health. Aquatic creatures are greatly affected by plastics. It is a true fact that if the
production of plastic bags is stopped, the economy of our country will be affected surely. So, the only
way out is to evolve a recycling system that will turn them eco-friendly. Otherwise we must avoid using
plastic bags to sustain our environment.
Of course, the government should take measures to make the people aware of the evil effects of plastics.

Natural calamities are taking place very now and then. Though we know that tree is our life-giver and
life-saver, we thoughtlessly cut down trees. This thoughtless felling of trees causes havoc to the
eco-balance and weakens our economy. But unfortunately we do not pay heed to such gravest threat.
The common people are not made aware of the gravity of the problem. The more the growth of
population increases, the more felling down of trees increases. We deprive ourselves of green touch due
to urbanisation, excessive population growth and for swift development. Due to deforestation our

Over speeding is also a cause of road accidents. Potholes here and there make the road extremely bad.
This bad condition of the roads adds fuel to fire. The traffic police posted at places are negligent of their

Only imposition of fines and seizing the vehicles or licenses are not permanent solutions. The

The attention of the sanitary inspector was drawn to this bad condition but with no result. I, therefore,
request you to visit the locality personally and see things for yourself.
I hope you will be kind enough to look into this matter and get the place cleaned up as early as possible.

after I finish my college. As security for the loan, I can pledge my commercial property located at

original documents ready to move ahead with the process.
Looking forward for your response.
