I Before — AAC Masonry Check

1 Availability of material

2 Line out rechecked.

3 Cleaning work area off loose material / concrete.

4 Hacking of concrete complete.

5 Proper stocking of AAC blocks.

6 Pre -Wetting of AAC Block slightly before use

7 Door, Window frames if any to be erected in position.

8 Door / Window frame plumb checked.

9 Provision of staging by as per approved material

10 Cutting tools & Equipment’s available on site.

II During AAC Masonry Check

1 AAC block work using approved polymer Mortar. (Fixoblock or

eqvt.)

2 Availability of tray for mixing of mortar.


3 Water should add for mixing the Mortar by adding 30% water or

as per manufacturer specification.

4 Dry mixing in tray to be ensured before water addition.

5. Consumption of mortar within 1/2 hour after addition of water.

6 Check for dimensional accuracy (Room size and diagonals etc)

7 Check for door / window opening sizes.

8 Provision for path / sill /holdfast.

9 Clearing dead mortar and AAC block to location of disposal.

10 Check for plumb / line / level of masonry.

11 Check for plumb! Line! Level of doors, windows.

12 Fixoblock or eqvt. Mortar buttered on Autoclaved Aerated

Blocks by using Patra for uniform coverage.

13 Fixoblock or eqvt. Mortar buttered on Autoclaved Aerated

Blocks by using Patra & after that makes the surface rough to

achieve strong Bonding.

14 Inside face of the Masonry unit should be buttered with mortar

before next unit laid on it.

15 Top layer of the Masonry unit should be provided by cutting

required height of the AAC block.


16 Chiseling done on Masonry unit by using approved cutting tools

& equipment’s.

17 Vertical & horizontal Joints should be maximum 3mm or

manufacturer specification for AAC block work.

III After Masonry Check

1 Joints gap filled with polymer mortar on both side & beam

bottom portion.

2 Identification & date provided for each day element.
