A picture that Paints a thousand words


Directions: A Picture will be flash in the screen. While the picture is shown, the
teacher will also play a music and pass a paper ball to the students. As the music
stops, the one holding the ball will describe the picture being shown.

1. Organize the class into groups.


2. The group will be given two samples of research to read and evaluate,
manila paper and marking pen.
3. Each group will answer the guide questions after evaluating the research
papers.
4. Communicate with the group and answer the questions assigned and put
your answers in the manila paper.
5. Each group will choose a leader and a reporter to present the answers.

Guide Questions:

1. What are your important observations about the two research samples?
2. Which of the two aims to test the hypothesis? To create new theory?
3. Which of the two research paper is subjective? Is objective? Why?
4. What is the data collection technique used in sample 1? In Sample 2?
5. Which data is analyzed statistically? Which is not?
6. In terms of outcome, which has the measurable results?
7. Based on your evaluation, which do you thnk is a qualitative research?

Direction: For the scenarios given, identify whether it would be best to gather
qualitative data, quantitative data or a combination of to answer the question being
asked.
1. You work in an office that has a water cooler. The water cooler holds
twenty gallons of water. Your boss asks you to figure out how many
refills your office will need every month, because she’s trying to do the
budget.

What type of data collecting method you would use? Why?
