Outpatient Visitor Policy:


Only healthy caregivers/family members should accompany the patient. This
includes parents, guardians, spouse, domestic partner, and siblings.

Hand Sanitizer and masks are available close to every entrance. Please
check the signs at masking stations to see if masking is required or optional
at the time of your appointment. If you or your child has any symptoms of
respiratory illness, please plan to mask during your appointments.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment
(unless instructions above specify a different arrival time).
Cincinnati Children’s Late Arrival Policy:
Please note that because of our busy clinics, we are
attempting to keep to our schedule as closely as possible. As
a courtesy
to patients who arrive on time, patients who arrive 30 minutes
or more late for their appointments may not be seen in the
order in which they arrive and may be asked to reschedule.
Thanks for your understanding and consideration for other
families.
What do we
need to bring with us when we come?
Medication Information:
To help keep your child safe, care providers need to know
ALL prescriptions, over the counter medications,
vitamins and herbal and nutritional supplements that the child
is taking. Please bring a complete list of all medications,
including dosages and frequency, to every visit.
Insurance Cards
and a form of payment: Please bring all insurance cards with
you to your visit. If required, insurance co-pays and Radiology
payments are due at the time of your appointment. If your
child currently does not have insurance coverage, please call
our Financial
Counselors at 513-636-0201 prior to your appointment.
If you would like an estimate for your upcoming services
please call 513-636-4427 option 3. If your insurance coverage
has changed since you scheduled this appointment, please
call us at 513-636-5640.
Consent: We
must have consent from you as the child’s parent or legal
guardian to care for your child. If you are unable to attend the
appointment, you must provide the child’s escort with a phone
number where you can be reached at the time of the
appointment. If we are
unable to reach you for consent, we will not be able to see
your child.
Activities:
It is always a good idea to bring activities from home to
occupy your child while waiting.
Who
can/should come to the appointment?
Only healthy parents or guardians should accompany the child
to the visit.
In general, only children who have appointments should be
brought to the hospital.
