5. LOW LEVEL AND REMOVE RESIDUE CHEMICAL

5.1 PROCEDURE

5.1.1 Ensure tank has been low level, liaise with Veolia PIC

5.1.2 Prepare tool for remove residue chemical

5.1.3 Remove chemical inside tank into IBC

5.1.4 Make sure all chemical has been remove before start piping work

6. PP PIPE INSTALLATION

6.1 PREPATORY WORKS

6.1.1 Ensure Site clearing and must follow safety and easy for relocation.

6.1.2 Mobilize the necessary equipment and material.

6.1.3 To provide appropriate safety signage and check for the safe entry & exit at work
area.

6.1.4 Ensure that the operating radius is clear of passageways and any pedestrian area,
and if not, ensure adequate traffic control measures are put in place.

6.2 CUTTING & CHAMFERING PROCEDURE

6.2.1 Decide cutting dimensions, and draw marked line and reference line

6.2.2 When oblique cutting or unlevel cutting with respect to the pipe axis occurs, undue
stress can be applied locally since the insertion depth is different. A lack of
adherence area occurs results in release, crack, and leakage.

6.2.3 Cut pipe along the cutting line

6.2.4 Use an exclusive tool to cut the line carefully along the cutting line.

6.2.5 Use care in cutting at low temperature during winter season.

6.2.6 Chamfer the outer circumference of the insertion edge by 1 mm to 2 mm. Deburr the
inner face by a light-chamfering tool.

6.2.7 Chamfering the outer circumference facilitates insertion and proper application of
adherence and take measures to prevent adherent from flowing into wetted surface.

6.3 CLEANING & ADHERENT PROCEDURES

6.3.1 Clean the joint face (the outer circumference of pipe, joint socket inner face).

6.3.2 Remove moisture content or attached contaminants and clean the joint face with
clean cloth impregnated with acetone and alcohol.

6.3.3 Remove contaminants attached to pipe interior, if any

6.3.4 Avoid cross-contamination.

6.3.5 Apply the adherent to joint socket.

3
6.3.6 Apply the adhesive thinly and evenly on the back full depth of joint socket so that it
may not overflow into the wetted surfaces within the marked line of the pipe.

6.3.7 Apply a large amount of adherent to the full circumference of the distance to the
marked line of the pipe outer end.

6.4 JOINT, FINISHING & CURING PROCEDURES

6.4.1 After the application of the adhesive, align the pipe axle, and insert pipe into the joint
up to the marked line.

6.4.2 Check the pipe is properly inserted up to the line. Never tap the pipe with a hammer.

6.4.3 When inserting the pipe vertically to prevent adhesive from squeeze out, invert the
joint and push it to the depth, with the bond faced up.

6.4.4 Wipe the adhesive that soaked through the jointed section.

6.4.5 Wiped off the adherent overflowing from pipe, or the pipe will be corroded, thus
resulting in an accident.

6.4.6 Just after pipe connection, don’t apply undue stress to pipe.

6.4.7 Don’t apply excessive stress to the pipe until dried, half day in summer or the whole
day in winter will be needed until the adhesive is completely hardened.

7.0 WELDING PP FITTING AND PRESSURE TEST PROCEDURE

7.1 PROCEDURES

7.1.1 Welding pp fitting at outlet tank piping using LESTER (Hot blower).

8. HOUSEKEEPING

8.1 Housekeeping includes always keeping work area neat and tidy.

8.2 Wasted materials such as rubbish, site debris will be removed.

8.3 Mobilize our own tools and materials after completion of project.

8.4 Before hand over to end user, make sure the project site area is well organized

9. QUALITY CONTROL

Quality plan is needed to ensure the works carried out meet the specifications. Hence,
inspection/checklist are as follow:

 Request for Inspection forms

 Checklist

10. SAFETY CONTROL

A construction safety plan is a document that outlines the procedures and regulations that
will be put in place to protect workers and preventing accident during the whole construction
period.

 Ensure work permit, HIRARC, toolbox meeting form all time present at site.
 Only permit has been approved just can start work.
 Before start work proceed toolbox meeting session, ensure worker wear PPE,
understand work scope and safety control measurement.
 If supervisor had emergency must leave working place, ensure assign capable
worker as temporary supervisor, or stop work while supervisor is not around.
 First-aid box will be provided on site.
 Site Housekeeping before and after work.

5
 Operator must have full attention and not allowed to use cell phone. Understand
