- Becky was raped by the Gatlin boys, there were three of them and when Tommy found out
about what happened, when he saw Becky naked, the torn dress, the shattered look is more than
tommy could stand, he was furious. Tommy went where the Gatlin boys are and Tommy beat
them which they deserve anyway.

2. Describe your own feelings after listening to the song.

- I was mesmerized by the song honestly, it was such a good song. It was like a movie
portrayed in a song, every words are meaningful. And the way Tommy fought for his
Becky is just so nice. Though I was kind of sad about what happened to Becky but
nonetheless, the song is beautiful.
3. Describe the feelings and the role of the feelings in the decision made by Tommy in the song.
- The decision made by Tommy is just right for me, but if it’s about the law then for sure
that’s wrong. Tommy, for the first time stand up and didn’t let anyone pass for what they
have done. Tommy stand for his beloved Becky, he didn’t let their perception of him take
him this time, and for the first time he didn’t follow what's his father last words for him.
He fought, and for sure Becky was happy, because the coward that everyone knows
became strong because of her. He fought for her and became a man. He fought, because
that’s what love can do.
