2. Pupils are asked to arrange numbers in ascending and descending order on whiteboard.
3. Pupils carry out quiz activity on rounding off numbers to the nearest ten thousands.

Activity 2 (Presentation) (15 minutes)


1. In pairs, pupils solve questions in Mind Challenge selected by teacher.
2. Pupils discuss and present in front.

Activity 3 (Try It Out) (15 minutes)


1. Pupils solve Mind Challenge activity on Page 63 and 64 in exercise book.
2. Pupils discuss the answer

Closure (5 minutes)
1. Pupils summarize the lesson for today with guide of teacher.

1. Pupils are given a problem and ask to underline the important information.
2. Based on the problem, pupils choose the suitable strategies such as pictograph representations,
diagrams etc to solve problems.
3. Pupils are asked to do division and mixed operations on whiteboard and discussion is carried out

Activity 2 (Group Discussion) (15 minutes)


1. In groups, each group is given a situation.
2. Pupils discuss and solve in groups.
3. Pupils write answer in mahjong paper.
4. Pupils present their answer.

Activity 3 (Try It Out) (15 minutes)


1. Pupils solve Mind Challenge activity on Page 65 and 66 in exercise book.
2. Pupils discuss the answer

Activity 1 (QR Code, Free Discussion) (20 minutes)


1. Teacher scan the QR Code provided to enhance understanding on converting mixed numbers to
improper fractions.
2. Pupils are asked to search information regarding prices, percentages and fractions from supermarket
brochures and discussion is carried out.
3. Pupils surf internet to convert mixed numbers to improper fractions and vice versa.
4. Pupils do fold activities on the process of converting improper fractions to mixed numbers.
5. Teacher stress on the correct way to write mixed numbers and improper fractions.

Activity 2 (Games) (15 minutes)


1. In pairs, pupils carry out Game in Fun Exploration on Page 70.
2. Each pair work is kept as folio.

Activity 3 (Try It Out) (15 minutes)


1. Pupils solve Test Yourself on Page 70.
2. Pupils discuss the answer.
