1. Are you interested in using social networking sites?

Well, I’m not really keen on using social networking sites even though I need to
keep abreast of news every day, so I still use some websites to read the news.
2. Where do you usually get the news from?
Actually, I usually get news from social websites and also the TV news. Some
websites I have read are called 24h.com, BBC.com and so on and all of these
websites have given information around the world so that I can catch up on the
news all over the world.
3. Do you read magazines? Which ones?
No, I don’t read magazines and I don’t like to read magazines because I think
that it wastes much of my time.
4. Do you often read a newspaper?
No, I don’t have time to spend on reading the newspaper. Another reason is that
I can read the news on social websites so that I don’t read the newspaper.
5. In which kinds of circumstances do you usually listen to the radio?
Usually on my car because I can’t use my phone while travelling and it will make
me dizzy so that radio is the best thing that I can use to keep abreast of news.

Describe a social networking site you like to use
Actually, I don’t spend too much time on social websites because besides hot news and
information from around the world, it also posted some junk things that sometimes
disturb me. Although I am still interested in just a few social networking sites and the
web that I am keen on the most is Youtube which is also a very famous and useful app.
Because it is very convenient so that it appears around the world on almost every
electronic devices that can access wireless fidelity (wi-fi) or have 4G/3G. Honestly, I
don’t spend much time on social networking sites because my parents said that it’s
extremely useless for your future so I just use it for relaxing and entertaining. To say
why it’s essential with me, it isn’t true because for sure I don’t use Youtube for
education purpose so that it doesn’t contribute any knowledge except bringing
entertainment for me. Though I am still a big fan of it because there are lots of gaming
skills that were posted on Youtube.

1. Why has the use of social media increased in the past few years?
There are a lot of reasons that made social media develop a few years ago and the
main reason is that the world is developing every day and one of the most crucial fields
that humans concentrate on is technology. That is why the use of social media had a
significant increase few years ago.
2. Do large media organizations have too much influence?
In my own perspective, I think that large media organizations are part of social
entertainment that interested people around the world. Though it is essential and if it is
extinct I think that it would impact and cause consequences for the society and the
entertainment field in a few years, but they might be adjusted by another so that they
don’t have much influence.
3. What is the most important medium for people in your country?
Actually, there are many choices about mediums for people to choose to update hot
news from the world. But I think the most essential medium for people in Vietnam is
Facebook because it is now the most popular social media for people. Facebook is
easily accessible but you need to enter your personal information to create an account,
and the most crucial thing is that it also updates news and people are big fans of it
although junk things are posted on it.
4. How important are newspapers?
In the past, it is true to say that newspapers are really crucial for humanity because
there weren’t any social media and wi-fi for people to keep abreast of news around the
world. Nowadays, it is convenient and quicker to access social networking sites to catch
up with the news from the world. There are still people who are keen on reading
newspapers but the popularity of it has decreased so much.
