CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

1. Introduction is around six (6) pages in length.

2. State the research problem.

3. State the review studies that addressed the problem.

4. Advance the significance of the study for audiences.

5. State the purpose of the study.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

1. Literatures are thematically arranged.

2. The proposal demonstrates a thorough and current

understanding and knowledge of the peer-reviewed

literature related to the topic.

3. The literature review justifies the question/problem

being studied.

FRAMEWORK

1. Conceptual framework is linked to the research problem,

question, and hypothesis.

2. Variables are presented in framework and paradigm.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

1. Clearly stated in measurable, operational, and observable

terms.

2. They are realistic, considering the constraints within

local conditions, and they are feasible.

can use the study.

3. Specifies how the study will be utilized by the

identified persons.

4. Organizes the order from the most important to least

important, ending in the research and future researchers.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

1. Scope includes where will the study be conducted.

2. Scope includes participants and how they are chosen.

3. Specifies who are included in the study and why they are

necessary.

4. Limitations are specified as to what should be done and

what was not done with reasons for it.

DEFINITION OF TERMS

1. Variables were defined operationally or based on how they

will be used or measured in the study.

2. Variables are in alphabetical order.

CHAPTER II

RESEARCH DESIGN

1. Design is defined operationally by discussing how the

design will be applicable to the study.

2. The application of the design is connected to the

statement of the problem.

3. Utilize the same words or variables mentioned in the

statement of the problem.

PARTICIPANTS OF THE STUDY

1. Start with the identification of how many groups of

participants the study has.

2. Describe accessible respondents and why they are

necessary to answer the questions of the study.

3. Specify the accessible population where the respondents

will come from.

4. Specify the targeted number of samples/participants or

respondents utilized in the study.

5. Describe how the participants will be sampled.

6. Specify how the sampling design will be conducted.

7. Present a table of distribution of the participants.

INSTRUMENTATION

1. Specify how many and what tools/instruments will be used

in the study. Discuss what variables it measures.

2. Specify how the study was developed, whether it was made

or adopted.

3. Discuss how many parts and how many items are there in

the questionnaires.

4. Specify what type of items and how they will measure the

variables of the study.

5. Describe how questions will be answered, whether on a

Likert scale or multiple choice.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

1. Completion of Approval of Research Ethics &

Administration.

2. Conduct the informed consent process, especially for

participant identification and recruitment, agreement

time, signing of the form, and withdrawal.

3. Discuss how data will be handled.

DATA ANALYSIS

1. Specify the tools used for the statement of the problem

(SOP).

2. Describe the analysis of data necessary for the

statement of the problem (SOP).

1. Set at 1 inch.

2. SPUP Logo is included along with the ISO Seal,

3. SPUP Is written in Old English font, size 16, centered

and bold.

4. Address is in Times New Roman, size 12, centered.

5. Include the gold and green line within the 1 inch after

logo.

Proposal follows the cover page template.

1. Courier New Font.

2. Title is in UPPERCASE, Centered.

3. Purpose is found.

4. Names are in UPPER CASE and Alphabetized.

Proposal follows the footer template.

1. Set at 1 inch.

2. Include the gold and green line with the 1 inch but

before the words.

3. School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences in using

Century Gothic, size 11, Bold and Italicized.

Chapters are labeled accordingly.

1. Chapter titles numbers are numerical, the word

‘Chapter” has only the first letter capitalized.

2. Chapter titles are in UPPERCASE, centered, and BOLD.

Succeeding labels or headings are formatted accordingly.

1. Headings in the chapter are left justified and BOLD.

2. Only the first letter is capitalized.

References are aligned and follows proper format.

1. Title is on UPPERCASE, centered, and bold.

2. Those included in the references are those found in the

intext citation or within the manuscript.

3. APA format is used.

4. Literatures are alphabetized.

5. Is found at the end of Chapter 2.

Proposal includes the necessary appendices.

1. Appendix 1 – Coordination letter

2. Appendix 2 – Informed Consent Process

3. Appendix 3 – Instruments or Tools
