INSPIRATION (Frank Lloyd Wright):

Frank Lloyd Wright was an American architect, designer, writer, and educator. Frank Lloyd
Wright changed the way we build and the way we live. As an architect, Frank Lloyd Wright was
known for many things, but perhaps his most famed characteristic was his exceptional attention
to detail. According to his philosophy;
“The good building is not one that hurts the landscape, but one which makes the landscape
more beautiful than it was before the building was built.”

Design Philosophy:
Design and form acquired a symbolic meaning. Architecture can embody “picturesque”
qualities that harmonize with the environment. Wright view all details of a building as the
product of a single independent mind.

Design Principles:
 Organic colors
 Simple geometric shapes
 Integration of building with natural surroundings
 Strong horizontal lines
 Hidden entries

Famous Projects:
 The Falling Water
 Taliesin West
 Frank Lloyd Wright Office
 Paririe Housing
 Robbie House Chicago, Illinois
 Harold C. Bradley House, Madison
 William Martin House Oak Park, Illinois
 The Guggenheim Museum

Frank Lloyd Wright: Concept

The architecture from outside as well as from inside should be organic in design. That means
the whole space should be according to the environment and according to user needs not just
rigid blocks and spaces.
My Inspirations:
Wright’s idea of incorporating nature and the human into architecture is really great. I may
design my spaces that will have more thought behind how they will be interacting with the
outside nature and human interactions.

Frank Lloyd Wright: Design Process

Frank Lloyd Wright has always been the nature’s true lover and always worked in a way to give
respect to nature and space. Use of natural materials was one of the main process in his
architectural practice that made the architecture more close to the nature and organic form.

My Inspirations:
We are creating just dull and boring urban structures that are opposite to the nature and
natural organic forms. I thought without the natures influence over the architecture we can’t
have that aesthetics.
