Not the right resource. The controversy with regard to the nature of management, as to whether it is
an art or a. I will try to explain some possibilities for this in an evaluation further towards the end of
the report. The cardboard bridges keep the wire straight and in place throughout its length. We know
that there was no acceleration on the motion of the car in the horizontal direction when the car came
off the end of the ramp, the only way the car could decelerate was to lose its velocity by air
resistance and by the drag from the ticker tape. The theoretical acceleration, taking into consider no
resistance force, was 1.9 ms-2 (2 sf), however, if you look at the acceleration down the slope for the
real car, it is a lot less that this. (I have taken the average because the earlier equations assumed
constant acceleration.) The fact that the acceleration decreases from about 0.9 right down about 0.1
or 0.2 shows that the resistance from either the slope or the ticker tape must be increasing. Write a

three showing a region of seven points of constantan, is a range of points which are slightly off the
line of best fit, this may be due to kinks in the wire which caused it to react differently to forces
added during these seven points, inaccurate readings could have taken place where not enough time
was taken again to let the force applied take its full effect on the wire. Nevertheless, the gravity can
only act directly downwards on the car, not parallel to the slope, so most of the acceleration due to
gravity is cancelled out by the drag. I will be using formulas to calculate average extension, stress,
strain and young’s modulus for copper and constantan. Detailed analysis of topic wise questions in
Physics is as shown. If we draw a line across where the distance will equal 2.55m, we can find an
even more accurate time for the time the car lands, and you can see I have done this on the graph.
Two questions in Physics had no correct answer for an answer. In alloys the forces between particles

As the students who are preparing for JEE Main and Advanced 2017 must be having a query in their
mind that how we should strategies accordingly in order to score good in JEE Main and Advanced
2017. When a material is stretched, an increase in it length occurs (the extension) and it is
proportional to the load, this means it obeys Hooke’s law. The original results were recorded using a
ruler with an accuracy of 0.5 mm, or rather 0.0005m, so the distances all have error bounds of
0.0005m. This value does not seem very significant at first glance, but this error is magnified by the
calculation process. This resource hasn't been reviewed yet To ensure quality for our reviews, only

graph for both copper and constantan, I will plot these on the same graph and analyse the graph,
hence I can find any patterns from the data and this will require me to draw my graphs accurately so
I can correctly analyse the results to make judgements and conclusions. And the reason for this was
that the ticker tape was getting longer and becoming more of a mass for the car to pull down. The
yield and breaking stress differs between different types of materials. Then the car will accelerate
even more as it drops off the end of the ramp and the friction from the ramp will no longer be
present. The system up to the end of the ramp was only 27% efficient whereas when over the whole
distance was actually 38% efficient, and the only change is the resistance of the ramp being lost
when the car enters freefall. This would have made the results much easier to interpret, even if it
would increase the number that I would need to plot and analyse. The results for copper and
constantan are shown on the next two pages. As can be seen in the table three the Young’s modulus
of constantan is higher, this can be also seen on graph three as all points for constantan is above
copper, thus the higher stress and strain resistance of constantan. And it would appear that this point
is after the bounce, and is the point when the car has lost most of its velocity, and then speeds up
again coming down from the bounce. We assume that the ticker tape will follow the path of the car
exactly, when actually, the ticker tape is much more likely to take a straighter path while the car
takes its parabolic path, this can be seen in the diagram to the left.
Then work out cross-sectional area of the wire by halving diameter to get the radius of each wire and
then put in to the formula. This may have also happened to point two for constantan, which was in
the same situation as copper. However alloys have other elements contained in the atomic structure,
like constantan which has nickel to fill these dislocations making it stronger, as slipping is more
difficult. Measure the extension created by increased load. (Extension from 0 centimetres on ruler,
shown by marker on wire). All YouTube links are included within the document under the
photograph of the video thumbnail. Modern Physics constituted 22% of the total syllabus in paper 1
of Physics. It is this negative charge of the electrons that gules the ions collectively. Other factors
that could have made this point anomalous is that not enough time was taken before a reading was
taken, so when a force was applied to the copper at this point it may have still been extending while
the reading was taken so the results became inaccurate. It will need to be neat to show the best
possible curve and most accurate in order to correctly analyse it. Where m is the mass, h is the height
and g is the strength of gravity. The general trend shown is positive correlation and that the higher the
stress and strain values for copper or constantan is, shows the error markings to be higher, thus
meaning as the experiment is carried out as the forces applied to the materials increase the results
become less accurate. The point three showing a region of seven points of constantan, is a range of
points which are slightly off the line of best fit, this may be due to kinks in the wire which caused it
to react differently to forces added during these seven points, inaccurate readings could have taken
place where not enough time was taken again to let the force applied take its full effect on the wire.
We must also look at the motion of the car in terms of energy. If we take the sin of the angle and
multiply it by the mass of the car multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity, we get the total force
acting down the ramp due to gravity. We assume that the ticker tape will follow the path of the car
exactly, when actually, the ticker tape is much more likely to take a straighter path while the car
takes its parabolic path, this can be seen in the diagram to the left. Each paragraph in the body of the
essay should contain. I measured the ramp's length, the height of the ramp, and the distance it
covered horizontally. Kinks in parts of the wire could also be a factor as this would affect how parts
of the wire react to different forces acting on it. The G-clamp and pulley will also be clamped to the
table at this time, pulley at the end of the table and G-clamp at approximately 2 metres from the
pulley (as shown in Figure 1). This was the place where most of the inaccuracies were caused. We
already know that there are large resistances coming into play, so now we can find out the amount of
wasted energy produced, i.e. energy, which does not cause the movement of the car. The theoretical
acceleration, taking into consider no resistance force, was 1.9 ms-2 (2 sf), however, if you look at the

resource. Overall, the average acceleration on the slope was 0.5 ms-2, a whole 1.4. Constantan is an
alloy and so for slipping to occur it is more difficult than for the pure metal copper, due to
dislocations being filled up with the nickel atoms in constantan and so dislocations are pinned hence
why the greater force is needed for equal extension of constantan compared to copper. The reason
the acceleration wasn't constant was because there was a constantly increasing force upon the car.
Just make sure you back it up with a scientific basis. In pure metals there are many dislocations and
slipping could occur easily (as shown in figure 3) that these dislocations in pure metals make them
more ductile. The initial part of each curve is linear, thus showing where the extension is proportional
to load, on copper the yield stress is reached at 16N and constantan reaches its yield stress at 32N.
Just make sure you back it up with a scientific basis. The point three showing a region of seven

changed from potential, now we can find out how much of the energy was actually used in moving
the car, and not wasted in heat, sound, and other wasted energy. Two questions in Physics had no

Cancel SassyScientist 4 years ago report 5 These are fantastic. The car has travelled 1.64 m when the
time is just over 2.2 seconds. When we look back, this figure seems remarkably large, as the figure
we acquired earlier was only 1.3 seconds (to 2sf) and we can start to see the forces which must be
against the car's motion down the ramp to cause it to almost take double the time that it would
assuming no resistance to motion. In the suvat equations we used earlier, the first major fault was that
in the actual experiment, the acceleration. Other factors I will be considering in the investigation will
be differences in stiffness (Young’s Modulus) of both materials and if this affects the ductility,
tensile strengths and other physical aspects of the materials. The problem was that the wheels of the
car themselves were not exactly in a straight line, and it would certainly have been possible to find a
car with better wheels, and this too would have helped to get more accurate answers. As pure metals
may have dislocations in them this makes it easy for slips to occur, as there are spaces in between
atoms called dislocations, and it is easy for these atoms to slip over each other hence this is why pure
metals are more ductile than alloys. This resource hasn't been reviewed yet To ensure quality for our

key component needed to calculate young’s modulus of a material, with constantan being more
resistant to stress forces acting on it than copper it can be said that the overall Young’s modulus may
be higher. This was expected because the car is obviously going to be more affected by gravity when
it leaves the ramp and starts to freefall.
We know the length of the ramp, and we know the acceleration and initial speed of the car, so we can
work out how long the car would take to go down the ramp, and fall to the ground below. This
definitely means being able to write something involving science that you may (or may not ) have
studied. The system up to the end of the ramp was only 27% efficient whereas when over the whole

Cancel shabaz21 4 years ago report 3 I have bought the other resources but this one did disappoint as
it had no quick quiz at the end of each session. We know that there was no acceleration on the
motion of the car in the horizontal direction when the car came off the end of the ramp, the only way
the car could decelerate was to lose its velocity by air resistance and by the drag from the ticker tape.
And, as the slope's surface was almost the same roughness all the way down, it is more likely that the
ticker tape was pulling back the car as it moved further down the slope. Now we will be able to look
back at these values, and using the fixed dimensions of the ramp and desk, be able to compare the
actual values to the estimations that we made earlier. Write a review Update existing review Submit

why its young’s modulus would be higher than that of copper. It entails investigating the young’s
modulus of the metal and alloy. To counter the problem of error bounds, we could reduce the number
of decimal places that the results are left to, however, because all the results would be incorrect by
the same margin, it is not such a problem, and any results which appear too anomalous can be
ignored when drawing lines of best fit. Having already looked up Hooke's Law, our star student has

Hence we can deduce from the information that constantan can handle more stress than copper even
though the wire diameter of constantan was 0.002m smaller and that the constantan wire is able to
