PREFACE
Student teaching is the peak of this pre- service preparation. This is the period to
apply in actual setting all the approach, techniques, strategies, and methods learned
regarding the teaching and learning process; to evaluate strengths and weaknesses and
eventually overcome all the challenges on becoming an effective teacher.
Excellent teachers, love how they teach, they pray and express their love for
those teach. They understand their needs and experiences when they prepare to
teach, they focus more on the learners than on making their presentation. They alter
their plans in order to address the learner’s questions and needs rather than trying to
cover everything they have prepared. They reach out to those who are not attending
class, they pray for the guidance of the spirit in their life and their efforts as a teacher.
They strive to live worthy. This things are what I have experienced during the on-
campus training, which I applied and will forever treasure. Internship, should be given
to all aspiring teachers order for them to experience love for the noblest profession.

It was born out of the ashes of a global conflagration and it was built in the ruins and
rubbles of the Second World War. It was founded by the pioneering group of educators
as a school for the masses, including the thousands of men and women whose schooling
was interrupted by the outbreak of the Pacific War in 1941.
The postwar years posed a period of crisis and bewilderment as the traumatic
consequence of the greatest World War in history. As Dr. Santiago G. Ortega, who was
later to become its first president, Observed "The period after the Second World War
was an age of shortage and confusion. There was lack of almost of everything: food,
dothing and shelter. The economic was want equaled by the educational chaos. Many
educators died during the war years and there were no replacement for them;
school buildings and equipment were ruined; books and other materials for instructor
were either burned or purposely destroyed. While there was a dearth of teacher, school
It was with this background that a group form themselves into the Rinconada
Educators Association, and founded on August 18, 1947 the Saint Anthony Academy, a
private high school in Iriga, then the municipality of the province of Camarines Sur.
Originally a night high school, it was housed in the rented building in the Barrio of San
Francisco, with an enrollment of 131 student and a teaching staff of eight. Most of the

In 1959, a dissension arose among the member of the board of trustees, which
nearly cause the closing of the school for failing to comply with the Bureau

there was reorganization of the Rinconada Educators Association and Dr. Ortega came

In 1966, the College of Commerce, the school of Midwifery and the Pre - Nursing
courses were opened. The following years, the baccalaureate program in Nursing was
complete. The idea of opening the school of Midwifery as an offshoot of Our Lady of

with the relentlessvig or of his obsession for quality education and his passion for
excellence. He demands excellence of the academic community. Excellence is a strict
conformance to the standard that is generally accepted to be above the ordinary. He

I was amazed that when I tell to my students that to those students who will
participate in my discussion, will receive a points after that in the middle of my
discussions almost they are raising their hands when I’m asking questions or If they
want to answer or share ideas or thoughts,it was effective since in the previous day
some of them are only participating.

It felt that they learned and have a knowledge in my discussion. There is one student
that gives me a little stress when I enter or while discussing or at the middle of the
discussion,he keeps on walking, making jokes to his classmates, he also bully his some
of his classmates that makes the class has a distractions everytime and everyday he
keeps on doing it and it makes me more challenge and have more patience in this kind
and different situations inside and outside of the classroom.
I’m very thankful to Ma’am Jennlyn for unforgettable experience, one pf the
reason to teach me the right thing to do in my practice teching give me some
techniques and tips for some situations that may encounter if we are in teaching days.At
the same time she was the one who made me feel that I can and encourage me to
improve my self in a way of she keep telling me “okay lang po Ma’am na ikaw po muna
mag handle sa section, may tataposin lang po ako/gagawin” it gives me a good point
since Ma’am trust me to gave me a task to handle 40 students.
I conclude that no matter how challenging a certain class there is a good side on it.
