INDUSTRIAL DRAWING 1

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLATES


General Instructions:
1. Should use Long Bond paper (8.5” x 13”)
2. Format/lay out of margins and labels are the same in the drawing plates provided.
3. Use only pencil
4. All Letters in the drawing should be in upper case (Capital Letters).
5. All Arcs and circles shall be drawn using pencil and compass.
6. All vertical and horizontal lines shall be drawn using pencil and ruler
7. All letters in the labels will have a height of 1/8 inch.
8. All green lines are only guideline. All red lines are dimensions

Plate Number 5: Arcs and Circles


Instructions:
Figure 1:
1. Make a circle with a diameter of 12 cm (radius of 6cm), then divide the circle by a horizontal
line passing the center of the circle.

2. Make another line having an angle of 60 degrees and will pass through the center of the
circle.
3. Measure 2 cm in each line which will start at the circumference of the circle.

4. Draw the first small circle at the center of the bigger circle having a diameter of 4cm (radius
of 2 cm).

5. Draw the remaining circles, use the measured 2cm as the center of the smaller circles.
6. Erase the guide lines.
Figure 2:
1. Draw a circle with a diameter of 12 cm (radius of 6cm), then divide the circle by a horizontal line
passing the center of the circle.

2. Measure 1.5cm, 3cm and 4.5cm from both ends of the line.

3. Draw the arcs using the measured distance as the center pivot of the compass.
4. The do the same in the other side.

5. Then erase the guidelines
