qualifications were designed to be more challenging, with exams taken after two years of study.
Component marks at key grade boundaries are aggregated to create a total mark, which is used to
calculate the overall qualification grade for each. I just wanted all the past papers for Edexcel as i

differ depending on the difficulty of the exam, but are the boundaries usually pretty similar to this.
This means that a candidate who gets nine grade-4s has, technically, passed all their exams.
However, the government's school league tables are based on the percentage of pupils who achieve a
5 or above in English and maths GCSEs. Life and Health science (step up science equivalent) Drop
Psychology or English Literature. Their GCSEs were graded using a numerical system from 9 to 1.
This means that any number of grades can be awarded a 4 at gcse or c at a level.
