Objective

Innova Solutions encourages and engages employees for the development of their skills in technical,
functional, and behavioral areas to build competencies and to meet individual and organizational goals.
This policy will supersede all the earlier versions.

Purpose
Upskilling is an integral part of career development and as an organization, we encourage and support
our professionals to get certifications which are relevant to the field they are working in. Innova actively
supports employee skills development for future roles/responsibilities that the company hopes to
entrust employees with. Training is an ideal employee development method when it comes to
addressing both Hard (technical) and Soft (communications, conflict resolution, time management etc.)
skills.

Applicability

Employees from Solutions Business are encouraged to enroll in free on-line and off-line courses and
enrich their skills. The practice teams will facilitate listing some of the relevant courses and publish it to
all employees from time to time.
Employees will be provided opportunities to enroll in paid certification, which will be reimbursed by the
company on successful completion and gates assigned for the courses. The broad categories for these
paid certificates are classified under:

1. Skill Development
• Career Development
• Cross and up skilling

2. Client Asks

• Client project requirement (if any)


• Differentiator in a multi partner scenario

3. New renewals and upgradation of partnerships with technology companies like


Microsoft, AWS etc.

• Certification renewals with our partners


• Partnership with leading technology companies

4. New Incubations

• For market penetration into new service offerings


• Developing skills in emerging technologies

The practice team have worked on the list of relevant paid & free certificates that can be enrolled along
with the cost details; this is available in the share point portal at
Knowledge Management Portal - Approved Certifications - All Items (sharepoint.com)

Guidelines and Process


• Employees in grade L3B and above are eligible for enrolling into the paid certification
program. They should have been with the organization for 1 year (12 months)
• Budgets for certification programs are assigned from January to December every year and
any un availed amount will lapse. Employees are eligible to avail any number of programs
(no caps in the # of programs), however limits are assigned based on the level.
- 30,000 INR for L3B to L5B grades

- 50,000 INR for L6 and above grades

• Employees who are keen in pursuing should raise a request through email to respective
Practice Lead (below is the list of the practice leads) for approval prior to enrolling into the
course.
• Practice leads (primary approver to approve & secondary approver is backup) will approve
the request based on eligibility and availability of budget. Such approvals are valid only for
that calendar year.
• Employees will enroll & complete the certification within the stipulated time. In case the
program gets extended beyond one year then a specific approval needs to be obtained
before processing for reimbursement
• On successful completion of the certification, employee shall raise the reimbursement
request within
30 calendar days by sending an email to accounts team (ap@acsicorp.com) and copying HR Ops team
(hrops@acsicorp.com) attaching the following:
- Practice lead approval

- Payment invoice

- Certificate of completion

- Filled in a Reimbursement form.

• Finance will process the payment and credit it to the employee’s account.
• Employees shall be liable to refund the entire amount reimbursed in case of resignation or
termination within one year of completing the certification.

Tenure criteria can be exempted for employees working in a specific client engagement upon that
client’s request for the project need and respective practice lead’s approval.
Any exceptions to the policy will need approval from Senior Director and above.
