In the final chapter of "Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes," titled "The Final

Problem," Sherlock Holmes faces one of his most dangerous adversaries,


Professor James Moriarty. Holmes becomes increasingly aware of Moriarty's
criminal genius and realizes that he is faced with a formidable opponent who
runs a vast criminal empire.

memoirs, honoring Holmes as a brilliant detective and a great man. The
chapter ends with Watson's realization that he must continue Holmes's work
and uphold justice in his absence.

"The Final Problem" marks the end of Holmes's adventures as detailed in


"Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes" and leaves readers with a sense of loss and
admiration for the legendary detective who sacrificed his life to rid the world
of a criminal mastermind.
