Description and Performance Sellstrom patented Impulse™ MAGSENSE ™ auto darkening welding filters
are among the first in the industry with optical and magnetic sensors. This
opto-magnetic detection system responds to visible light from the arc and/or
the magnetic field created by current flow through the work piece. The
MAGSENSE™ is available with an internal and an external variable shade
control. Both MAGSENSE™ filters allow the operator to regulate sensitivity
and range of the magnetic sensing mechanism, or simply deactivate the
sensor completely for ordinary processes requiring optical detection only.
