throughout the experiment which proves that photosynthesis cannot take place without carbon
dioxide. The research that was included at the end of the plan is extensive including both diagrams
and equations backing up the written explinations.
For this problem to be solved the green plants must be kept in a green house where temperature is
increased by heaters, light intensity is increased by paraffin lamps and carbon dioxide increased by
chemicals or paraffin lamps because burning paraffin produces carbon dioxide as well as heat. I can
now see that my prediction for the temperature to increase did not come out true. Students have
commented on these saying that they have found them useful tools for revision and helped them in
lessons as aids. There must only be one variable and that is the distance of the light source from the
plant. This is because this temperature is very hot, too hot for the pondweed to produce bubbles. I
find it a very effective way of assessing knowledge as well as the weaker students learning from the
