DESCRIPTION AND HABIT : The Mekong River is fed largely by the melting snow from the
Himalayan mountain range and due to the limited amount of industries by the river banks,
the water is clean and unpolluted.
Farming takes place in ponds located strategically beside the Mekong River. Pangasius is a fast
growing fish, thus making it economically viable to farm. Six months is all it takes for a crop
of Pangasius to be ready for harvest and transported to the processing factory by river boat.
Rich in Omega‐3 Fatty Acids and Protein, this mild flavoured white fish fillet can be used a
variety of appetizing recipes.
SEASONALILY AND AVALIABILITY: Harvesting takes place all year round
FISHING METHOD: Harvesting by net from ponds and transported ‘Live’ by river boat.
