The Dangers of Typing SMS while Driving
The popularity of mobile devices has had some dangerous consequences. We know that mobile
communications are linked to a significant increase in distracted driving which results in injury
and loss of life.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that in 2010 driver distraction was
the cause of 18 percent of all fatal crashes with 3,092 people killed and crashes resulting in an
injury 416,000 people wounded.
The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute found that text messaging creates a crash risk 23
times worse than driving while not distracted.
Eleven percent of drivers aged 18 to 20 who were involved in an automobile accident and
survived admitted they were sending or receiving texts when they crashed. Distracted driving
endangers life and property and the current levels of injury and loss are unacceptable.

2. “How to Make Easy French Toast”

To make French Toast, you need:

1. 1 spoon of sugar

2. 2 eggs

3. 4 pcs of bread

4. ¼ cup of milk

5. Butter

6. Pan

7. Fork

8. Plate

9. Bowl

Steps:
 1. Break the eggs, then pour the milk in the bowl.

2. Add a spoon of sugar.

3. Mix the sugar, milk, and eggs.

4. Next, put 1 piece of bread in the bowl with eggs, milk, and sugar. Then, turn
it over.

5. Put butter on the pan and heat.

6. After the pan is hot, take out the bread from the bowl and put it in the pan.

7. Flip the bread after you cook one side, to the other side.

8. After finishing the bread, cook the other 3 pieces of bread with the same
steps.

9. Now, serve the bread on the plate.

Jakarta subway experiences another blackout
MRT Jakarta experienced another power disturbance on Wednesday morning but has
taken steps to mitigate future disturbances by providing backup power generators.
All 11 stations were hit by a blackout at 5:10 a.m. on Wednesday before services
commenced, however the stations were temporarily closed. According to an initial
company investigation, the power outage was caused by a troubled electric current.
However, the flickering did not affect the electricity supply and services were able to
commence normally.
MRT Jakarta corporate secretary M. Kamaluddin said the company was updating its
standard operating procedures, especially on changing its electricity sources from PLN
to MRT Jakarta`s backup generators to ensure a seamless transition during power
disturbances.

The Surabaya Police have arrested a man, identified only as MN, for allegedly buying an infant
via Instagram.
MN was arrested at his house on Jl. Karah in Jambangan district in Surabaya, East Java, on
Sunday. He was found to have paid some Rp 3.8 million (US$250) for a baby boy when he was
only three days olD.
Surabaya police chief Sr. Comr. Rudi Setiawan said recently that the transaction was conducted
in Semarang, Central Java, on Sept. 23. The baby’s parents live in Tangerang in Banten.
“The baby is now safe with the Surabaya administration,” Rudi said on Monday (The Jakarta
Post, Tue, October 16, 2018)

Final examination soon will be held
Final examination test has been counted down in two month, This test will determine all of
indonesian student are worthy or not to pass the school. Based from experience of the last year,
there are so many student worried about dificulty of the test. They criying over time before and
after the test held. (AntaraNews.com)
In the elementary school, number of students that failed reaches hundreds in all of the school
around indonesia, at least about 698 children do not pass this test, this figure dropped
dramatically from the previous year which reached 874 children. Meanwhile, the number of
students who did not pass even worse that touched the figure of 749 years ago, this is due to a
mismatch to shine exam with questions tested.
Generally the problem is due to the fear of students in that will be tested on the exam. But this
can be overcome if the student is able to prepare itself in terms of both learning materials and
mentally.

Bale Kambang is a small village in the Southern coast of East Java, seventy kilometers from
Malang town and four hours’ drive from Surabaya. It is well known for its long beautiful white
sandy beach as well as the similarity of its temple to the one of Tanah Lot in Bali.
In Bale Kambang, there are three small rocky islands namely Ismaya Island, Wisanggeni Island,
and Anoman Island, those names are taken from “wayang” figures (Java traditional puppets).
These islands are surrounded by Indonesian Ocean which huge waves frighten most overseas
cruisers.

Mona doesn’t like to ask people for help. But it is hard for her to perform daily activities on her
own. She is almost 13, yet she is no larger than a 5-year-old. Mona has trouble keeping her
balance and can’t walk very far. When she uses a wheelchair, she can’t push it herself.
Fortunately, Mona has a wonderful service dog named Sam. A service dog is a dog that has been
trained to assist someone who has a physical problem. Sam lets Mona lean on him when she
walks. He also pulls her wheelchair and turns lights on and off. When Mona drops something,
Sam picks it up. He even pulls her socks off at night. Sam also helps Mona with everyday tasks
at school. He carries her books from class to class in a special backpack. He puts Mona’s
completed assignments in her teachers’ homework trays. In the lunchroom he throws away her
trash.
Besides making Mona less dependent on other people, Sam helps her lead a fuller life. Mona’s
classmates flock around Sam like geese. This has helped her make friends. Sam also helps Mona
be more active. With his aid, she raised over $500 in a walk-a-thon for her local humane society.
Because of Sam, Mona doesn’t have to ask people for help. Sam brings her closer to other kids.
And he even helps her contribute to her community.

Nowadays, the activity of online shopping has risen steadily around the world. It has become a
new lifestyle for people in modern city since 21St century. Even though there are still many
people who prefer buying their daily needs in a market to shopping online, shopping online for
certain people has more advantages than its drawbacks.
There are strong arguments in favour of online shopping. For some people, particularly working
people, they argue that the existence of online shop is very utilitarian in their life. That is because
they do not have to go to a market which they may spend much time. Moreover, online shop has
offered many types of goods that customer can buy, so they have many preferences to select the
best ones.
Furthermore, nowadays, there have been many online shops which put some buyer testimonies
on their websites. If customers feel worried about the quality of goods, they can see and read
some testimonies concerning the quality of those goods. Therefore, with the presence of
testimony, consumers can easily determine whether the quality of goods is decent or not.
In conclusion, online shopping has advantages and merits for many people. Thus, people can
utilize online shopping as new lifestyle due to its benefits.

Information for Building Visitors
All visitors must register at the Security Desk when entering the building. You will receive a
visitor’s badge. Keep it visible at all times while in the building. The security officer on duty will
notify the office you are visiting, and an escort will be sent down to meet you. Please wait for
your escort by the elevators. Badges are not required in the lobby and ground-floor cafeteria,
which are open to the public.
The cafeteria and lobby area close at 6:30 p.m. and the security officer goes off duty at 7 p.m.
All visitors must be out of the building before the security officer goes off duty. Exceptions to
this rule must be arranged beforehand. For more information, speak with the security manager
during normal office hours, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Last week, I was late to come in my school because I watched football match in the night.
Because that I woke up late. When I wanted to take my motorcycle to go to school, unfortunately
I forgot where did I put the key and I tried to remember where I put it. After 10 minutes, finally i
found my key. I tried to ride my motorcycle fast but the street was too crowded. It made me had
to ride my motorcycle slowly. After 30 minutes, I arrived in my senior high school. But
unfortunately the class has been begun. After I arrived in my class, I saw my teacher has stood in
front of the class to teach. I entered to my class and of course my teacher was angry to me
because I came late. It was my bad experience and I hoped I would not do that again.
