CONTEST GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

GLOBAL EXHIBIT

1. Each section should present the GLOBAL INFLUENCES of their assigned country through an
exhibit, primarily focusing on the following:
- Historical Influences;
- Food and Cultural Influences; and
- Media and Pop-cultural Influences.
Note: Present a maximum of three foods per country.

2. Each section should assign curators to explain their exhibit to the judges and interested
viewers. Should have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 curators. {If not observed, a 1-point
deduction in their final score will be imposed.}

3. The booth of the exhibit is strictly 2x2 meters in area and should be stable enough that would
not affect the booths of the other groups. {If not observed, a 3-point deduction in their final score
will be imposed.}

4. The exhibit will start at exactly 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM. All material should be
prefabricated and the booth is expected to be finished and ready for viewing at exactly 8:45
AM. {A 5-point deduction in their final score will be imposed if the section is still fixing or
constructing their booth beyond 8:45 AM. Booth construction shall start by October 3, 2023.}
Note: Painting inside the school premise is prohibited and is subject to the above deduction.

5. The participants are highly discouraged from spending too much money in their booths and
are expected to follow the agreement set by all section leaders/representatives. {If there are
proofs of violation, a 10-point deduction in their final score will be imposed}

6. Criteria for judging:

Content (The influences of their assigned country are well researched and explained) 35%
Creativity (The influences of their assigned country are creatively presented in the booth) 35%
Delivery (The articulation of the curators and their manner in answering the questions
from the viewers) 30%

CREATIVE PRESENTATION

1. Each section should present the GLOBAL INFLUENCES of their assigned country through a
creative presentation. It can be a dance number, a song number, a role-play, or a combination
of two or more presentations.

2. Each section should prepare a country introduction for not more than 30 seconds and should
be presented creatively by all members.

3. At least 70% of the population of the section should perform in the presentation number. {If not
observed, a 5-point deduction in their final score will be given.}

4. The presentation should only be staged for a maximum of 5 minutes. {A one-point deduction in
their final score per succeeding minute if violated.}

5. The section must submit their music on March 8, 2024, not later than 6:00 PM at the Social
Sciences Division office. {A 2-point deduction shall be given if the music is submitted beyond the
given deadline.}

6. Criteria for judging:

Performance (The influences of their assigned country are well presented) 25%
Relevance (The presentation shows the global influences of their assigned country) 25%
Props and Costume (The creativity and appropriateness of the materials used in
presenting their country) 25%
Entertainment Value (Viewers were entertained and learned something from the presentation) 25%
