INTRODUCTION
A media platform is a service,site, or method that delivers
media to an audience. It’s function are to deliver, but also
sometimes to allow for feedback,discussion, or sharing.
the first true social media platform launched in 1997 after
Six Degrees founder Andrew Weinreich, known as the
father of social media networking, applied for the first
social networking patent. Social media platforms is an
internet-based form of communication. Social media
platforms allows users to have conversations,share
information, and create web content. The largest social
media platforms are facebook,youtube,what’s
up,Instagram and wechat. Billions of people around the
world use social media to share information and make
connections. On a personal level, social media allows you
to communicate with friends and family,learn new
things,develop your interest, and be entertained. Social
media platforms can help students to share their thoughts
without any fear.

Social media,when used in a responsible and age-
appropriate way can help children learn, think
critically and build the skills they need for the future.
Social media is an effective instrument for students
to study and thier thoughts. But there is also a bad
effect to students especially if you are not
responsible in using online platforms like
distruction,disrupting their sleep,exposing them to
bullying,rumor spreading,unrealistic views of other
people’s lives and peer pressure.

Base on our survey most of the students are using

social media. A lot of them are usually visiting
messenger app and some of them are also visiting
facebook app and others. 18 students are using
internet sometimes and 13 students are always used
internet. Most of them are using phones in breaktime
which means that they don’t want to distract during
class, some of them use phones after the class or
their dismissal. Also some of them tells that media
platforms are addiction that can cause of failed in
their academic performance, but a lot of them tells
that social media platforms can help to express their
 selves and it is one of the source of information that
can help for their academic performace.

CONCLUSION
Social media clearly portrays both positive and
negative effects on us.it is the decision of an individual
to decide what to take from them. Hence, it can be
said that social media is a blessing to humanity if used
appropriately and also a weapon of destruction if
misrepresented. The government should properly
regulate every activity on social media. Strict action
should be taken to control false content,storng
cybersecurity laws should be made and implemented.
There should be a dispute resolution mechanism to
tract courts for cyberbullying/harassment,securing
personal identity like facebook data leak.
RECOMMENDATION
Too much use of social media can have adverse effects
on student’s minds, and they may also be exposed to bad
posture,eye stran, and physical and mental.Limiting In
using social media platforms, you should stay of your
content feed. You have to make an schedule in using
phones. Also create a social media schedule. Based on
our servey we should have time management in using
social media platforms. You this for the necessary things,
for your skills and study. You can also replace your time
on social media with other activities like having fun with
friends,familys and others, writing a book, traveling and
others.
