Warehouse Management - Intern Job Description

You will be part of a warehosue management team but also cross functional with
other departments such as transport, quality, production and more. Your main
responsibility is to ensure that the existing processes are developed as well as
performed in the intended way.
Your Main Tasks Might Include :
1) Assist in implementation of multiple continuous improvement projects/ideas.
2) Collect necessary data to optimize warehouse processes and to improve overall
efficiency
3) Analyze and validate data (ABC analysis, …)
4) Optimize/reorganize storage locations to increase overall efficiency.
5) Methods to follow for Inventory / stock count
6) Reporting of activities
7) Setting KPI’s
8) Assist in daily business
9) Method for capturing the inventory Carrying cost.
10) Understanding the process & compare the existing procedure for change
management.
11) By auditing the operation activity based on performance indicator, suggest the
opportunity to improve the effectiveness.
12) Ensure the capability of warehouse members to handle operations efficiently &
effectively.
13) Investigating the opportunity to develop their knowledge by training, sharing
sessions & discussions.
14) Developing the training module for new recruitment’s.
15) Structure the MIS for warehouse process.
16) Preparing the stock audit sheet
17) Reducing the existing transportation cost through Operation research.
18) Preparing a procedure for warehouse head count calculation based on demands.
19) Establishing a effective system to handle the in-house scraps real accounting vs
physical receipts.
20) Suggestions for eliminating the paper works.
21) Reducing the RTV lead time through system driven with effective communication
to all stake holders.
