ABOUT

The Association of Leather Technologists (ALT) is a committee laid

foundation by the students of leather technology and is being housed at
CSIR- Central Leather Research Institute for the past 20 years.
ALT, after successfully crossing
20 years, is now bouncing onto a
bigger platform by connecting
global leather institutes through
CROSSLINX'23, An International
Leather Conference with a view
of incorporating deeper
knowledge about leather and
leather products among students.
CROSSLINX'23 provides a platform for students to enhance their
technical skills by conducting various events like technical paper
presentations, poster presentations, debates, lectures, oratorical contest.
and workshops. This conference will help students to gain thoughtful
knowledge about leather and leather products. Besides that, this
conference will also help students to come up with flying colours in the
future.
FROM THE DESK
CROSSLINX is an opportunity provider for
students to show case their managerial,
technical, artistic, and other hidden talents.
Even the COVID-19 pandemic did not deter
our students in conducting CROSSLINX.

The highlight of Crosslinx'22 was the conductance of a marathon to

create awareness on GREEN ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY
DEVELOPMENT. Our students at the Department of Leather
Technology, true to our motto of doing better today than yesterday,
forever. Keep raising benchmark of CROSSLINX every year. The
current team of the Association of Leather Technologists (ALT) has
taken up the challenge in pushing the boundaries of CROSSLINX'23 to
greater heights, I wish them success in their attempt to go beyond their
target.
Ever since its inception, CSIR-CLRI had the
academic association in the Department of
Leather Technology, AC Tech, Anna
University, which has crossed the milestone
of 75 years in its services of Leather
Education, generating tertiary level
manpower that supported growth
transformation of Indian Leather Sector, At
CSIR-CLRI adequate CARE is provided to create an ambience for the
holistic development of the students. Association Of Leather
Technologists, the student’s association as always has aligned up a series
of technical programmes as a part of CROSSLINX 2023. I wish
CROSSLINX 23 to come out with innovative programmes to enhance and
bring out the latent talent Of the Leather Technology students.
