Overview
Geoscience ANALYST 3.2 includes enhancements to the 2D Profile Viewer in the Free Viewer.
Geoscience ANALYST Pro has built upon our Python API and geoapps application repository and can
now automatically import results written to geoh5. Pro also contains additional drillhole planning tools, as
well as expanded functionalities for VP Models. Pro Geophysics continues to expand upon its
connection to VP Suite.

New and updated functionalities
Geoscience ANALYST Free Viewer
l The following enhancements have been made to the 2D Profile Viewer:
o VPmesh and OcTree meshes are now supported for model section views
o The graphs and model section are exported to an image (Ctrl + C/Ctrl + V also works for
screenshots)
o Elevation range, vertical scale and lock aspect ratio can be set in the model section
o Profiles no longer switch direction according to line direction
l Shape file polygons are now imported as closed curves
l IP decay curves can now be viewed in the Decay Curves panel

Geoscience ANALYST Pro

l The right-click context menu has been reorganized, with the tools to create objects in a submenu
l geoh5 workspaces can be auto-imported from a monitored folder that is specified in the user
preferences. This is particularly useful when used in conjunction with our Python API and
application repository, geoapps, to automatically import results that are written to geoh5
l Drillhole grid pattern planning – an existing drillhole can be copied with user-defined spacing in U
and V. The grid pattern can be rotated around the input drillhole and mirrored in U and V.
Optionally, collars can be draped onto a nominated topography surface and paths extended to a
nominated target
l Drillhole target planning now provides a preview of the target plane and buffer that updates when
parameters are changed
l Using the Drillhole Designer or Manual Drillhole Designer, users can now classify their drillholes
as Ongoing, Planned, or Complete
l The following VPmesh objects and utilities have been added:
o Export VPmesh model to a VP model file
o Create a VPmesh from a Block Mesh object
o Create a Block Mesh from a VPmesh object
o Create 2D grid of interfaces of VP Model unit tops, unit thicknesses as well as the surface
units (to create a surface map)
l Visualization of upline/downline potential electrodes has been improved
l Object metadata can now be exported to a JSON text file
l Curve objects can be densified to a maximum node spacing. Optionally, properties can be
interpolated to the new sampling

Geoscience INTEGRATOR
l The following new themes are available:
o Targets
o Anomalies
o Geophysics – Inversions
o Topography
o Culture
o Claims, boundaries
l Several themes have been renamed:
o Mine model – Underground is now Fusion models
o Mine infrastructure – Surfaces is now Mine infrastructure
o Drillholes is now Drillholes and wells
o Remote sensing is now Remote sensing & air photos
o Geotechnical monitoring is now Geotechnical
l A new option is available to filter events-type data by the number of days before today’s date
l Data is grouped where appropriate when pulled from Geoscience INTEGRATOR

Geoscience ANALYST Pro Geophysics

l The following VP functionalities have been added:
o Use VP models as input grids for forward modelling
o Homogeneous unit inversion of referenced data
l Convergence curves now have access to all information within the inversion .out file
l GRAV3D, GG3D, and MAG3D have been fully migrated to C++ from MATLAB
l Shape file implementation has been migrated to C++ from MATLAB
l EM transmitters and receivers are now linked:
o Copy/paste works within and between instances of Geoscience ANALYST
o Both are moved when either the transmitters or receivers object is moved

l A generic calculator has been added to face-based models
