A. Definition
The Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986 defines a child as an individual who has not attained the
age of 14 years. Enacted with the primary objective of safeguarding the rights and well-being of young individuals,
this legislation seeks to establish comprehensive regulations governing the hours and working conditions of child
laborers. The policy is designed to ensure compliance with the legal requirements, promote the well-being and
protection of children, and contribute to the eradication of exploitative labour practices.
B. Purpose
This policy purpose to safeguard the rights and well-being of children by establishing guidelines for their
employment conditions. By strictly prohibiting engagement in hazardous industries and promoting a supportive
environment for their development, DCPL seeks to ensure compliance with legal standards, foster ethical labour
practices, and contribute to the protection of children from exploitation and unsafe working conditions.
C. Objective
The objective of DCPL Child Labour Policy is to unequivocally prohibit and prevent the involvement of children in
any form of labour within our operations. In order to prohibit the employment of children at the entry stage (“child

F. Procedure
The procedure for Child Labour Policy involves meticulous adherence to legal standards and ethical principles. We
will regularly communicate and train our staff on the policy's guidelines, emphasizing the unequivocal prohibition
of child labour within our operations. Below points shall include;
To generate total awareness against employing any one child labour who deems as child labour in DCPL
and their sub-suppliers.
To identifying and make an effective way to apprehend child labour in DCPL and their sub-suppliers.
Total avoidance of child labour- set up a proper monitoring and inspection at work place by HR
department whereby DCPL ensure that there is no child labour in DCPL Dileep Industries Pvt Ltd and
their sub-suppliers.
In DCPL Dileep Crafts Pvt Ltd while hiring employees, recruitment practices and procedures cannot be
looked into in isolation. The age proof certificate obtained from the school or colleges, or as certified by
the component doctors need to be documented. A certificate from a component doctor recognized in this
regard can be constructed to be valid document.
In DCPL Dileep Crafts Pvt Ltd upon hiring new persons the factory HR department must ensure that each
worker produces the original document for verification of age prior to employment. Can be a birth

DCPL ensure to make this policy and help eliminate child labour:

at eradicating child labour. Our commitment extends to sponsoring and organizing programs that focus on
community education, school construction, and creating sustainable solutions to eliminate the necessity for
children to work in order to support their families.
Q. We educate our staff on youth work laws, equipping them to recognize and report child labour.
R. We mandate hiring managers and HR to refrain from hiring minors below the legal working age. It is our
expectation that they possess a thorough understanding of this policy, along with adherence to laws
governing wages and working hours for older children.
S. We maintain and validate documentation verifying the age of our employees post-hire. In the event of
discovering the hiring of a minor under 18, we conduct a review in accordance with applicable laws,
adjusting working hours accordingly. If necessary, and in the event of separation, we ensure support for
the affected individual, including considerations such as providing their would-be salary for a specified
period, demonstrating our commitment to responsible and compassionate employment practices.
T. Communicating our no child labour policy to organizations we’re connected with and ensure our contracts
have the right stipulations.
U. Auditing suppliers and partners periodically to ensure they are not involved in child labour, possibly with
unannounced onsite visits too.
