STEPS FOR MAKING SCREW JACK AT CATIA V5
Step 1: open CATIA and create a new part file
• Launch CATIA and start a new Part Design document.
Step 2: sketch
• Create a sketch for the screw jack profile using the Sketcher
workbench.
Step 3: pad
• create a part file 1
• Use the Pad command to extrude the sketch in the Z-direction
to create the main body of the screw jack.

Step 4: Sketching Threads Create a new sketch on a plane
perpendicular to the screw axis.
• Create a part file 2
• Draw the profile of the screw threads.
 •

Step 5: Thread Creation

• Apply the Thread command, selecting the helical path and the
thread profile to create the screw threads.
Step 6: Nut
• Create part file 3
• Create another sketch for the nut on a new plane.
• Use the Pad command to extrude the sketch.
 •
Step 8: create lever
• Create a part file 4
• Sketch a lever and pad it.

Step 9: create others components

 • Create part file 5 & part file 6

Step 8: Assembly
• switch to the Assembly Design workbench.
• Insert the screw and nut components and constrain them
appropriately.
